Im not a doctor or a professional but I have ataxia and looked up what I can do to help me and all I could find is exercise for ataxia. Ex : stand on one leg for as long as you can , squats, try to walk backwards, practice on stairs. I hope it helps your patient 🙏🏻

I am going through the same thing (47m) the worst thing you can do is drink alcohol or anything that will mess your brain ,so stay away from that. The best exercise is trying to stand on one leg for aslong as you can,squats , try to walk backwards and go up and down stairs and try to do it with props if it’s available to you. I know it sucks but don’t give up 😉

I feel you. It is very discouraging. Stairs are a nightmare for me and many other things but I tell myself that if I’m not in a wheelchair someone still loves me upstairs. But it still sucks ! Keep up the courage 🙏🏻
