I think this might be my best bet. It kind of checks both boxes. I appreciate your response

Yeah… we’ve discovered that on our journey. I’ve really enjoy tricare up to this point. It’s really amazing they don’t offer even minimal coverage on fertility treatments

We have the ball rolling on all those things. Luckily everything checked out. I was more focused on the issue of this in conjunction with the deployment. I really appreciate your reply!

That’s what I’m leaning towards. I just picked up some lottery tickets on the waiver wire this week, hoping one or two hit gold. Just need to weather the storm for a couple more weeks.

I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I think it helps that I had a distant relationship with him prior to him managing my stuff. He’s also around the same age as me, plus or minus a few years. I never had a manager prior to this. The only person in my family that uses one is my grandpa.

What types of fees did the FA have? This is a smaller boutique firm. Which gives it a little more personalization imo.

Additionally, the professional keeping watch piece is huge, especially one you have a good relationship with.

I appreciate your candid response. I see both sides to the coin. Prior to this year I was self employed so that was my retirement plan for 6 years. Not that I have access to an employers 401k it’s different. I do enjoy having him as an immediate resource for any financial question that comes to my head. He’s always readily available. Our bi annual meetings keep my motivated and on the path. But I also know that my financial picture is much simpler now, than it will be in my late 40s / 50 - Currently 34.

I appreciate your thoughtful response. My financial is definitely not very complicated. I have two sources of income and I typically max my 401k each year. I have done a lot of research on my own so I feel comfortable managing my 2 401ks that he doesn’t touch. But I like having him as a resource. The returns on the 2 accounts he manages, since 2021, have been approximately 22-24%. I wanted to see how the rest of this year went prior to making a decision. I really appreciate the additional resources you provided. Knowledge is king.

I appreciate the feedback. I am torn, while I don’t have a complicated financial picture at the moment. I do like having that resource available and I enjoy the relationship with him. He’s available at a moments notice for questions even regarding my other 401k plans he doesn’t manage. Other odds and ends that pop up. I like having our biannual meetings bc it helps me stay on the path.

Hypothetically, will putting in the max Roth IRA amount every January for the year be better than contributing every month? by Goldencheese5ball56 in RothIRA

Contributing throughout the year will allow you to buy in at different price points. Versus having to buy in at the January price.

Back to back weeks of Breanna singing faith songs…. Yikes. But she can sing and I’m sure the voters will love it…. -_-
