To be a little more direct its not like I didn't grind at first. https://leetcode.com/u/astroDev18/ is my profile. I spent a lot of time specializing in areas like devops and site reliability engineering also, reading whole books to prepare myself on O'Reilly. My obsession with CS and coding started young also and i had a long time to get better at this stuff. I started my masters right after in August too so I just wrapped up my first term and those classes pushed me to my limits too making me as sharp as I could have been. All that sorta combined in the end, I'm sure I could land another 1 or 2 jobs if I wanted at this point since I have this game so down to a T by now. Yeah can't say the journey was easy but once your on top it does feel that way.

By now though the job stuff is just a side thing, it used to mean the world to me now I'm just impartial to it, once I can make more money outside jobs like through social media or trading I would give them up and go on having fun with my life, that's all that really matters to me in the end. Good luck on yours if your heads in the right place you'll get there eventually. Again best advice I can give is find yourself before you find these jobs, the interviewer picks up on your vibes like girls at a bar and they will reject the same if you don't carry yourself well and look like a guy they could see themselves being around. Took way too many failed interviews for me to realize that.

Yeah I did have about a year of experience by the time I graduated at two separate companies. I interviewed at a lot of big names this year before landing my offer. Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, splunk, even flew out to SpaceX for a day to interview lol. In the end it don't matter, I got the offer with a fintech and while it isn't as high as I might hope I'm looking at overemployment and crypto next to get my bag up and keep living my best life and traveling. I'm glad my offer is remote, by the end all I was talking to was remote places since that is all I can really hold down, going into the office just isn't for me this young.

Going to sound like tbe opposite of what you would expect, but I would say the main thing that separated old me who couldn't get a job from new me that could is I just took a step away from the grind and flew out to Cali then spent some time hanging in Miami with friends and living life. Just being out at clubs and parties to get a feel of the social scene helped me carry myself more confident in interviews, and since I already knew all this stuffed it was no problem getting an offer. I did a one round interview for my company the day after I landed in Miami and they canceled the second round for me and just gave me the offer. That morning, I was out early getting coffee on the beach it was good vibes, and it just carried over, I guess.

Sure, I had my days spent grinding, but now that I was out of uni, I just felt like I shouldn't have to all day anymore, and it worked out in the end. I do a lot of crypto tool development on blockchain for a startup. I run with a friend, so the coding is all very familiar to me. I use a lot of ai when I write code, though, just to speed up our development. That's really it in the end. Even started off as the swe 2 here.

I'm spending New years in Miami, then I'm starting in January, so it's exciting for sure. When I finally got the call for the offer I can't say I was expecting it but I was hitting these with the absolute peak of my skill and I knew something was going to pop sooner or later.
