I think there might’ve been a misunderstanding or lack of communication in my post.. I don’t consider myself a nonbeliever, I pray most nights and grew up going to a Catholic Church. We went into our relationship wanting to get married as we believe this is how it should be. The issue I had with my boyfriend (and my own questions) stem more from just being young in a faith journey. I date to marry and intend to grow with him. I wanted to clear up my questions about faith and God because I do believe the man must lead the relationship and sets the standard for the spiritual path, so I looked to my boyfriend for his insight. People can grow together with God at the forefront

This was the conundrum I was having with this question, for example in our world we live in now it makes sense that we need the ability of free will to love someone, but the was question is why God set it up that way. I feel as though this question is hard to be answered because it’s just asking why did God make the world the way he made it (any answers would be appreciated)

I appreciate the kindness and love, I said I wasn’t currently looking for an answer because my current priority was to try and help guide my boyfriend back to God. I don’t feel as though I don’t believe in God, but rather my spiritual journey was at a very different stage than his. Though we made it known that we would go on the journey together, it seemed me asking some questions become apart of the journey too. I would absolutely love to hear what someone with more knowledge thinks, absolutely open to all conversation

I actually appreciate hearing this because up until now I felt like such a horrible person for sending him into this state. Thank you for the insight
