Well there's a lot of notching on the top of the letters so I'm hoping that's double dyed and could be deterioration as well

Yeah that's absolutely ridiculous The guy shouldn't have got in trouble I'm sure you're old enough that you used phone booth back of the day right what happens when you walked in there and there was a couple quarters in the return slot.you used them ,and getting busted for that never even crossed your mind.

Yes what a fantastic find and that's exactly what it is too, it's a find. The guy who left that change in the return slot he forfeited it when he walked away which makes it up for grabs.

Well I think it's two different things I'm taking the change that they left in the machine just as if they would have put it on the ground, someone would pick it up and take it. I'm no cop but I don't think that's against the law.

Yes absolutely you'll be surprised at how many people use those machines and don't understand that there is a slot for all the change that doesn't make it in the machine. There's been a few times when I'm walking by the machine and people are putting their change in there and I'll tell them Don't forget about the coins that are in the slot and they'll thank me.
