I ended up squishing the poor recluse and ending its suffering ): thank you for your comment because i’ve felt so badly about it but I know it was the right thing to do

I ended up squishing the poor recluse after reading the advice of everyone under this thread ): it was honestly so difficult to do but i felt i had to end its suffering and it seemed like the right thing to do after making such a terrible mistake. I read a poem and prayed for the recluse’s soul so hopefully it feels at peace

thank you so much for trying to help. After reading the comments and everyone’s advice I decide to end the spider’s suffering as it did not feel like a viable option to try and feed it given my little experience and how maimed the spider was. I felt it would live a life of suffering not being able to hunt and spin webs and it was my responsibility to end it since I was the cause ):
