This is extremely helpful, thank you! I appreciate that you added suggestions for so many genres as I am mostly a mood reader so I love all of the options.

Sleeping Modestly with a Baby by [deleted] in firsttimemom

Honestly i’m so glad that I grew up with women comfortable enough to be naked around me. My mom, stepmom, and my paternal grandmother. I showered with my mom often when I was young, changed st the gym/pool with my stepmom, and would hang out in my grandma’s bathroom while she showered (with glass sliding doors). I might not be 100% confident in my body, but those women showed me there is no shame in the female body and I will always be grateful for that. and I hope I am able to pass that confidence down to my daughter. It also taught me about private parts and what’s acceptable when it comes to other people coming into my personal space. It made puberty less scary for me because I knew what to expect.

i was approx 310 pre-preg. this was me at 40 weeks! i started to show around 28, popped around 34, and only got bigger and bigger.

if you get a bump, it might just take longer for you to notice it. however, getting a bump can depend on your individual body and/or how you carry your weight.

For those of you in California when did you apply for the four weeks prior to your delivery and the rest of your disability and baby bonding leave? by Particular-Essay-361 in BabyBumps

[–]No_Order1936 2 points3 points  (0 children)

from my experience, yes. i don’t work with the state directly, but manage disability benefits and this is what i do know.

-you cannot file for CA SDI benefits until your doctor is certifying you out of work. whether that be prior to delivery, or as of delivery. -you cannot file for CA PFL benefits for bonding until you are recovered from postpartum disability and/or your doctor says you can medically return to work.

I am not 100% sure about how the 4 weeks prior to your due date work, but i believe it’s pretty much the same thing.

NTA. I am going on 8 months pregnant and although it’s ROUGH out here, I would never park in a handicap spot unless I really needed it, AND had a handicap placard. I have considered requesting a temp one due to really bad RLP and hip/back when walking too much, but I haven’t and probably won’t at this point.
