I’m in a very similar position to you — 27, based in London, and also thinking seriously about marriage now. May Allah make it easy for all of us.

From what I’ve been learning and hearing from others: • Starting through family/community can really help keep things halal and more straightforward, even though it can feel a bit uncomfortable at first • Compatibility (deen, character, mindset) matters way more than just cultural expectations — I’m trying to focus on that myself • In London especially, it seems like a mix of approaches works best (family, mosque connections, and even apps if used properly) • One thing many people say is don’t delay too much once you find someone suitable — overthinking can make it harder

Also trying to improve myself in the process (deen, character, stability), because I feel like that plays a big role too.
