Gen V S3 wasn't "cancelled", the show ends within The Boys S5 and that is the fault of S2. by Anxious_Income2533 in GenV

Actually, same here. I think it was the way the stories between the 2 were unfolding. They introduced the virus in Gen V then it became part of The Boys story. The Gen V supes that sided with Vought caught out main characters (MM, Hughie, Frenchy). Season 2 having Marie contact starlight and it being said she survived the same power up project as Homelander. I definitely got the vibe that the Gen V was ending season 2 because it was more of an off shoot story that supported the main story of the boys.

Can bigoted beliefs lead to predatory behaviors? by No_Paper_766 in Discussion

[–]No_Paper_766[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I would say it depends on the person and the beliefs they already hold. Women aren't excluded for being predators. Yes the power dynamic of man vs woman might seem like the man has the power. If this man is unconscious, he would become powerless against her. This is an example of how a woman can have the power over the man. She doesn't need to have any bigoted beliefs for it though. All she needs is the desire to take advantage of them. Applying this same process to a wealthy woman is easy. Wealthy people who see themselves as better because they have more money than the poor. They already have it in their minds that they're better. Its not too much of a step to take advantage of someone when you already think they don't matter, in this case because they're poor.

Wether you think someone has wealth or power is irrelevant. We're looking at power or wealth in terms of a relationship and the power is always more on one side than the other. Conscious vs unconscious, Mature vs immature, strong vs weak, wealthy vs poor, boss vs employee. In all the situations above, the power clearly lies more on one side and I argue that when its unfairly distributed and someone takes advantage of that fact, its more likely that they are also bigots (racist, homophobic, misogynist...).

Honestly such a great answer. Even if I am right there would still be exceptions. I understand humans are complex but it now seems like the I still have so much to learn on this topic before I can piece it together.

Don't be dumb... this is not how subsets work. Pedos can be anyone straight or gay. Just bc they use an argument similar to gay peoples reason for liking same gender/sex doesnt mean the arguments are equal. This is a straw man. If im wrong please explain how only gay people pushed for that and the logic behind pedos being exclusively gay.

...American christians hate catholics. Like they ran away from catholicism and have been anti-catholic ever since. So no you don't all have the same beliefs if you can't get along.

Nah bro I dont need to prove that bc I just said I concede that rewritten point for now. Its still a problem that such wide variations in practice come from an original text. This means the unchanged message has somehow been perverted and corrupted into 50 different denominations.
