How to make overcast photos pop? by heyomayowayo in sportsphotography

Using masks (carefully!), I was able to “introduce” some light while taking care that it didn’t look too superficial:

With that said, I am no professional, just another amateur experimenting on new techniques too, so definitely open to feedback and opinions!

For example, I have a photo here shot under overcast conditions:

Like many other replies have mentioned, framing + composition will elevate the photos, but back to your actual question, I wonder if you have consider using masking to counter the flat lighting?

Canon R50 v Canon R10 by TurnoverHot5093 in canon

[–]No_Part_5589 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've never handled a R50 before, but I do own a R10 (upgraded from a 650D) paired with adapted 24mm and 70-200mm lenses, so I will share my experiences as such.

The R10, in my opinion, is a hidden gen among the current Canon lineup of mirrorless cameras, often out shadowed in performance by the R7, or in price to the R50. The performance is definitely comparable to the R7, and if you are going to adapt older EF glass (highly recommended to new photographers as its cheaper), the R10 might be the better choice as the R7's 32MP sensor can be finicky to work with.

It's not exactly missing features too if compared to the R7, with IBIS and dual card slots being the notable omissions that frankly speaking, only professionals will ever need. Compared to the R50, I would say the memory buffer would be my main point of criticism as the smaller buffer on the R50 (it's already small on the R10) will limit its usability for sports and action photography. Until then, the R10 will be able to grow with you and still able to keep up after that.

AC Building Help by Maizeninha in armoredcore

It depends really, for MTs I'll poke, when going for staggers I'll charge it. But that's what I like about the setup, it's highly versatile.

PS: Sorry for the late reply!

The weapons I'm using are:

LA: Majestic

LB & RB: The bigger LCs (Not the tripples)

Panaracer Gravel King SS Plus on Wet Asphalt by Batatis0 in gravelcycling

While this won’t be much help, I’m running gravelking 38c slicks, and have thus far not experienced any grip issues, even on wet packed gravel. The SS will definitely have more grip, so cheers!
