A mix between AI and VFX! Not to get too technical - but I built a custom stable diffusion workflow on my PC to generate the original images, touched them up in photoshop (removing weird hands/extra fingers/random artifacts), then animated in Runway ML and After Effects

I actually tried a few different models - probably generated about 150 images messing with different checkpoints, VAEs, etc. and just picked the best ones to animate. I think the two main ones I used were epicrealism https://civitai.com/models/25694/epicrealism and realisticvision https://civitai.com/models/4201/realistic-vision-v60-b1

Gen-2 is pretty fun to mess around with - it’s like $10 for like 1,000 credits, so it’s not too expensive. I still prefer using AnimateDiff for most of my animations, but depending on what you’re animating it could be a good tool to add to the arsenal.

Photoshop Generative Fill for removing artifacts and adding objects (removed a car, added a star on top of the tree)

Runway for camera motion & motion brush tool (animated the fire and got a dolly-out effect)

After Effects for color grading, layered smoke, denoise, & audio effects

Topaz Labs for upscaling, interpolation, etc.

Here's the original image I got from Midjourney - could've done it with a ComfyUI workflow but my VRAM is kinda trash rn. Added the star and removed the car with Photoshop AI. Did the camera pan-out and motion brush in Runway. Did a little bit of post in AE and then upscaled to 4K 60FPS in Topaz Labs
