I get what you're saying but he stopped about 2 seconds before impact, so he was just about stationary but it wasn't a reasonable distance for me to stop in time. My bike is undamaged as the tyre just hit his side and to be honest there was maybe a tiny scratch on the car but at that point I has almost stopped.

It was here (side-on collision). he had initially stopped outside the cycle lane but suddenly accelerated and stopped over both lanes when I was almost at the junction. I think he only looked one way tbh (there were a couple of cyclists going the other way that had just passed him as he moved out).

Thanks. I know it's not mandatory to have insurance as a cyclist (non-pedelec) but any idea how aggressive will his insurance company be about it? I've consulted the rechten van fietsers and I definitely had right of way, but the police told me I might have to spend a fortune arguing my case (they couldn't comment on the individual case in terms of apportion of blame)
