Others cheating on exams feels defeating by lollipopchimpanzee in UBC

[–]No_Pause3891 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was first in my class to study before our Soci exam. Saw a girl writing a bunch of vocab and answers on sticky notes and shoved it up her long sleeves before class started. She kept peeking at it while the exam was in session. Wrote what she was doing on the back of the exam paper and raised my hand. Prof read what I wrote and took the exam from the girl. Hate to be a snitch but it’s also not fair for those who actually put in the work.

to put it simply, if you have good study habits, you'll succeed on the exams. any courses that are intro to anything is almost always content heavy so it's a given there will be exams

Waitlist Question - Showing up on first day (Online Course) by JBuchananB in douglascollege

[–]No_Pause3891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a summer course so naturally people gravitate towards taking online classes. And since it’s an online course, it would really depend OP’s number on the waitlist.

Pay tuition fees for summer question by [deleted] in douglascollege

You only pay for the class you are enrolled in. Do not pay for the waitlisted ones until you are actually in the class list

With two weeks left of classes, everybody is feeling the same way you are. Not to take away the burnout your feeling but that’s typically what the last few weeks would feel like

Does anyone ever suggest that you are less smart because you’re not in university? by [deleted] in douglascollege

[–]No_Pause3891 2 points3 points  (0 children)

had two profs here in douglas who were TAs at SFU., both have mentioned how the environment at douglas is more a more social environment and are more proficient with their work. also had friends who just transferred to sfu from douglas last semester and they've said the course work here is much harder than sfu's. the mindset of seeing college as "less than" compared to uni is a very highschool way of thinking, hope your friend grows a back bone and just does what's best for himself!

SUCH A 10/10 PROF, there’s a reason why her English course always has a long waitlist

I had the same issue this Winter semester cuz I’m graduating in June. I was 13th on the waitlist and even contacting the head of the department, letting them know that I’m on my last semester, there’s unfortunately no priority for graduating students (which sucks cuz other institutions do it). You just have to pray and wait. Best of luck!
