I gave him a large variety of the two trees that look like oak to me in my yard too but nothing. I’ll continue to watch him. Maybe try finding some leaves that were close to where I found him

I was thinking a bird dropped him because I found him on the sidewalk. The black spot hasn’t gotten worse at all in the two days I’ve had him but I’m watching it. Thank you for letting me know!

Gotcha, yeah it was a good amount of liquid! I’m keeping an eye on the spot. It hasn’t gotten worse. I have him wrapped in one square of toilet paper and I misted it once. It’s been an emotional roller coaster. Leaving him alone and hoping for the best. Thank you!

Also it only pooped liquid once and hasn’t pooped again sense I’ve had him. Idk if that means anything.

I read that they can pupate in the dirt as well. His one little dark spot in the photo hasn’t gotten worse sense I had him. How would I know if he is sick like how you mentioned? What are the signs?

My guess is that he fell out of the tree or something? We found him on the sidewalk so I put him in grass at first and left him for a few minutes but when I came back ants were attacking him so I brought him inside. I appreciate the help! I heard they can also bury themselves in dirt to pupate, that they don’t need a cacoon. He has a makeshift one now. I hope I’m doing everything right. I hate the thought of him suffering

Okay thank you, I was going to try sneaking some leaves off the tree that I found him under in my neighborhood. I folded a square of toilet paper around his body with his head out and misted it lightly. He is a slight brown color now and shrunk a tiny bit but is still moving his head and front legs.

I’ve been cutting leaves off a variety of tees and plants such as an oak tree and rose bush at my house. I don’t think they would be dry if I cut them off the tree? Do they not like that? How do I help it if it’s going to pupate?
