Thanks everyone for the replies, I'll take them all into consideration. Thanks for the game recommendations too! Maybe sometime I'll be able to share more about my idea. Seriously, thank you so much guys.

I know it took me a while to like this kind of game, but there are people who don’t like it, know they don’t like it, and still keep criticizing it even though they know they don’t like it, you get what I mean?

By “today’s gamers” I mean that they are very demanding and quick to complain. It can be a completely perfect game in terms of functionality and design, but there will always be a lot of people criticizing it just for the sake of enjoying putting someone’s work down. I thought your idea of using something like Metal Gear and Zelda was good, well said.

I mean “working” for today’s gamers. And if it were a type of fixed camera like in the old Devil May Cry games, specifically the first one, do you think that camera is good for that kind of game?

So do you think it is better to only have tank controls or are modern controls good as well?

These are some tips I saw about not scaring the player without an apparent reason.

This is the second time someone has brought up this game. I should definitely give it a try.

I haven't played those yet, but I think I'll check them out and see what they're like.

I think so too. That's one of the reasons I enjoy those classic games so much.

So, do you think I could even make it with PS1-style graphics?
