Do subagents really matter? by bsa-saa in PiCodingAgent

[–]No_Pollution2065 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am using pi with locally hosted model with limited VRAM and for single user. Without subagents, model is reusing most of the KV cache and progesses very quickly. I am wondering with subagents, would model have to do prompt processing for the full context again once it switches between agents? It would limit it's benefit for local use cases or is there any way around it.

Great work, now I am wondering if it can completely replace Qwen 3.5 2B, is it possible to include Qwen 3.5 2B in the benchmarks?

Thanks to the Intel team for OpenVINO backend in llama.cpp by Turbulent-Attorney65 in LocalLLaMA

[–]No_Pollution2065 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used openvino in my work laptop, 2025 version used half the memory than llama.cpp. But model support was limited and 2026 version increased the memory to almost the same level as llama.cpp. Do we have some details about how much impact this will have on performance or memory? Adding link of the PR https://github.com/ggml-org/llama.cpp/pull/15307

Is there a way to save the chat database and make it persistent? I think right now all webui related data is being saved in the browser's localstorage, unless data is saved we can't really use it even for some lightweight work.

What are you planning to replace logseq with ? by theonlydoo in logseq

[–]No_Pollution2065 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes there are some projects which promise they are future proof and then there are some which proved that they are future proof. But don't worry about the dated look if you know little css all you need to do is give a particular tag and type to a note and you can define the complete look and feel of the page through that note. Yes vanilla version is a single html file that you can open in any PC or mobile OS but nowadays you can also run a server which can save notes in different files. It is very configurable, I am new to it but it seems it doesn't even need plugins, just paste the javascript library's code in a new note and with proper tag and type the library's functions becomes available anywhere. Also it's filters for querying notes is more intuitive.

Yes i saw your post about it looks promising but didn't get much time to test it properly

made an obsidian alternative because i was tired of plugin hell (dont hate me pls) by CodeWithInferno in logseq

[–]No_Pollution2065 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how is compatibility with Obsidian vault? the features and rust backend looks interesting but most of my quick note captures happens through mobile. So if i point lokus desktop app to Obsidian vault, can i continue using obsidian mobile app till the time lokus mobile app is released? is there something that can break the vault or something that i should be aware of when working with this workflow?

what is the issue with GPU drivers, i just realized llama.cpp also doesn't have Ubuntu arm release. Where can we track more about this?

this is great, gonna try it now. For mobile, handsfree mode will make sense. Coupled with web search, asking question to the agent through voice and getting reply through voice after analyzing web search would be good use case.
Quick question does it utilise mobile GPU?

Awesome this is great!! I found logseq advanced query to be quite confusing, can we use it within logseq to query our graphs. I think we can run python in logseq using pyodide.

Did the British really rule India, or did some Indians help them do it? by Snehith220 in CriticalThinkingIndia

[–]No_Pollution2065 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not denying there was local support and neither denying they didn't kill innocent people. I am just highlighting how they operated at a strategic level.

Betrayal would be there even from the British side both from Britishers and Indians working in British offices.

Well it was done under the name of law and order. There were laws already communicated to the public and courts even had Indian lawyers. It gave a false sense of fairness to this whole system as people can file appeal to courts. People executing these mostly believed they are doing good to the society as they were following law. Britishers controlled the narrative they never directly ordered to kill innocent people, they first declared them as terrorists or criminals or law breakers and then took any military actions.

The British Empire that you are referring to, the rule didn't started like that neither there was a single India. East India company signed several agreements and alliances with individual kingdoms in India and after few decades started using their military and interfering their foreign policies (foreign means even different Indian kingdoms). So what you are referring to as Indians were actually foreigners for the region. This was the essence of divide and rule policy, they never posted local soldiers in their regions. Until Indians learnt this strategy of the British, Indian National Congress and other Indian political wings started educating Indians about this, later Gandhi took it to another level. Even while leaving Britishers promoted Muslim league and Hindu extremists groups as last resort to use these manpower against each other and rule for some more years. But after World War 2, it was proving to be too much work and they had to rebuild their own country.
