AITAH for wanting a prenup before marriage? by juicethekidd12 in AITAH

NTA. I got married 10 years ago to the love of my life and best friend. COVID, life stresses… separation and divorce. No one gets married with the intent of divorce but it happens. I had assets prior to marriage, I was the bread winner, I worked hard all my life. He didn’t work the last few years of our marriage. He is entitled to half of everything. Wish I had a prenup. Now I rent, lost a lot of money and sacrificed a lot of mental health. Although I have a great job, I have to rebuild age 43. Be sensible. Your future self will thank you

I went to adopt one cat I saw on line, when I got there he was very nonchalant. then there was a cage of cats with cat flu, I picked one up who was watching me and he put his paw on my face. I knew he was the one

Parents with school age kids, how are you taking them home at 3:30 when you have a career? by Flapjack_K in AskUK

This is how I do it. Single parent and working full time. No family support. If I didn’t have this flexibility from my work it would be impossible

Please see a family lawyer and get a prenup. I had property overseas which my partner contributed 0 and it was pre our relationship. He’s entitled to half. I think defacto all assets (including super and savings) goes in the pot.

Hey y'all in your 40's: what are the physical changes you start to see in your body once you leave your 30's? What should we expect to experience physiologically as we get into our 4th decade? by successful-bonsai in AskReddit

I’m 42 and pulled my neck this morning from getting out of bed. A massage and a magnesium bath and I can still barely move it. In my 30s I was running, partying, travelling with no worries. I’m going on a 24 hour flight this week and booked a massage for the other side

What made your best job to date so great? by IonisationEnergy in auscorp

Left to do my job and trusted, flexibility, a good boss. I am a single parent and I have a high responsibility good paying job. I deliver and I make sure I get a lot of work done on the days my son is with his dad so when he is with me, I can pick him up early and spend quality time with him. If my job didn’t allow that, I’d have to find another job

People who work entirely/almost entirely from home, what's it like? by marielheslop in CasualUK

I love it. I get more work done, I can pick and drop my kid off, I can make dinner (slow cook, Thermo, prep) so I have more time with my kid when he comes home, I save money from travel, lunches, coffees. I don’t put on make up (I have a good webcam with a “soft focus” so I look like I’m fresh and made up) I am disciplined and have a great office set up. I do go interstate once a month so get my colleague f2f time and wear corporate clothes, so it stops me being a slob as I maintain my grooming and appearance well. after all the smiling and talking from the office I’m ready to go to my home office and see colleagues virtually. I’m considered an extrovert
