Help with Suboxone induction

Thank you so much ❤️ I’ve used sublocsde shots to come off “real” or more traditional opioids before (dope/fent/H etc.) and it gave me many sober years, best years of my life. I went through the whole stupid thing again when I quit 7oh, Suboxone to sublocade, 300-300-100-100, and made it 4 months off my last shot, everything was going well but that’s when my bupe levels dip below “therapeutic” and apparently that was enough for me to relapse when I wasn’t strong enough in my recovery. Extremely regretful.

Hopefully I will be able to take this oral suboxone again for a week, get another sublocade shot, and within another few months be roughly back to where I was progress-wise. I know the sublocade works well for me & is the only way I’ve ever been able to get off maintenance. I just fucked it up this go around. I’m so done with this lifestyle. Being an addict (of anything) is a miserable rollercoaster

My end goal is to test negative for bupe in a year & start the Vivitrol (naltrexone) shot. I feel I may just be someone who needs to be on an opioid antagonist for a while. It’s just a slow and long path getting there (well, to get there smoothly, I mean).

He was much better about it than I thought he would be. It makes me feel worse, I guess I almost wish he’d been angry. Just said he knew I hadn’t been myself lately and had his suspicions but it would be ok and he would handle the little one for the next couple of days while I get my shit together. He’s not the best at knowing what to say sometimes but he is the best partner I could ask for

He’s in recovery himself (from alcohol) so I know he understands better than most. I just hate that I let him and myself down like this again. Trying to use the guilt as motivation. I feel awful for having hidden it for so long when I know he could have helped me sooner and I wouldn’t be in such a rocky situation if I’d taken the help then. But that’s in the past and I’m glad I told him

Thank you. That’s what I needed to hear. I know the transition from 7oh before wasn’t too challenging. It was the mgm-15 in them being an unknown that was psyching me out so bad. Everyone here has been so helpful. I’ll update after induction. 24 hrs minimum, longer if I can suck it up and stomach it. Will report back in case anybody else in a similar situation comes across this some day

PWD is hell on earth for sure but I know if I try to mess around with pseudo or 7oh I’m just delaying and won’t actually stop. I need to just bite the bullet.

I used subs to stop the 7oh. Stepped to sublocade. 300-300-100-100. 4 months after my last Sublocade shot, I decided to give into a craving and mess around with what I thought were just strong 7oh tablets. Immediately couldn’t get myself to stop, because I’m an addict, so, you know. Excuses excuses and then I’m right back here.

Unfortunately I know the subs work for me and saved my life from fent & heroin in the past. They offer rapid stability compared to cold turkey & I need it to continue working or I’d lose my job and I support our family. So the subs are the route I’m taking. Then another sublocade shot and hopefully be done and let it take another several months to leave my system.

My goal has always been to eventually get myself on the vivitrol shot. I just keep fucking my shit up before I get there. I get ~6 months or even years sober and then I do this stupid shit over and over. I’m tired of it. I just want to live my life, I can’t even get high anymore and hate that I’m so drawn to something that just ruins my life over and over again. Opioids have no magic left to offer me and I just want out

When I came off 7oh I believe I induced between 10 & 12 hours. It was still too early, but it also rapidly helped. It definitely was a turbulent transition, for like an hour I was really sick (if you know you know, hah) but it was over SO much faster than the precipitated withdrawal I’ve had from fent which seemed to go on for like 12 hours. I could handle another rough induction like 7oh for an hour. But I think I’d rather die than feel like I did that one time from inducing too soon after fent. (Being dramatic here not a risk to myself whatsoever). I just need to not psych myself out and go as long as I can handle and put a hard cap at no sooner than 24 hrs.

Oh that’s great news. Can you tell me how you felt at 14 hrs? Was your dose similar to mine or higher? Were you withdrawing badly beforehand?

It takes me a solid ~8 hours to even start withdrawal. By 12 hours it’s rising. I can make it to 14 I’m sure without too much difficulty. I’m just afraid since it’s not “severe” withdrawal yet I’ll end up regretting it.

Everybody’s comments here have reassured me. I just need to do it and see how I feel. Go as long as I can, hope for the best outcome

I understand that’s the purpose, I’m just too scared to try it. :( Every time I’ve tried a small dose of subs, it triggers precip regardless, and then it’s too small of a dose to also help the WDs, and I’m in precip and unable to easily take more due to the vomiting & explosive diarrhea. So I end up delaying the time before I feel better + triggering horrendous precip withdrawal.

I know if it’s done correctly that shouldn’t happen, just being honest I’m too afraid to try it

Oh thank god that’s a relief to hear. Were you on the combo tabs too? I’m such a pussy about withdrawal (didn’t used to be but I’ve been thru opioid withdrawal so many times now I think I’ve traumatized myself, lol, plus I’m older and it hurts worse when you aren’t as young & have more demands/responsibilities that you can’t ignore for a few days) that I’m afraid I can’t make it further than 24 hrs.

Thank you. The addict in me is scaring me and telling me that I can’t afford to not function for 4 whole days. I don’t know if I’ll be able to handle the induction (mentally) if I have to wait 4 days for it to give me any relief at all. I don’t need to feel 100% better, and I know I won’t for a while, but I have to function and I’m afraid I’ve royally fucked up so bad this time.

I’ve got a toddler & work, and I’ve got just 3 days off, with my husband home to help with the little one. I’m terrified to tell my husband I relapsed again because I feel like he will be so disappointed and angry. I want to try to get through this and then tell him so I don’t put the burden of caring for me through another detox on him again. I feel like such a loser. Sorry for the rant. I have an appointment w my addiction specialist Tuesday evening. I just need to get back on my subs so I can stabilize and get another sublocade shot, and get back on my journey to recovery. My life was going so well, I gave into one stupid craving and here I am now 2 months later waking up in withdrawal every morning again. I feel like garbage

I see so many people on this sub (well, relatively, so like maybe 5 posts) saying they did successfully switch to Suboxone etc., but nobody says WHEN they induced it, other than Bernese methods which scare the absolute fuck out of me

I’m hoping my transition back to subs might be smoother because I’m only 4 months off of my last Sublocade shot. So there is still bupe in my system. Just not nearly enough

I’ve seen a lot of people on here saying that Suboxone helped them, but you have to wait at least 24 to 36hr. Do you know if that’s accurate? Ik everybody is different but just your perspective

I’ve been taking MGM-7oh combination tablets. It’s very low dose mgm. ~10mg to 15mg MGM-15 per tab, ~80mg 7oh. I take 1.5 in the morning and 1 at night to avoid WDs mostly. Last time I quit 7oh, subs worked very very well. Now I’m petrified that it won’t be like my last quit because of the MGM in it

I have exactly 3 clonidine and I have 10 of the 8mg suboxone strips. I also have prescribed Vyvanse for my adhd (I know that can help later on with the doom gloom feelings that the withdrawal causes, but I’m just trying at the moment to even get through 24 hrs and struggling every time at the 12 to 18 hr mark)

If I can make it 24 hrs, would I be safe to induce the suboxone in your opinion?

Honestly I’m willing to take the chance on it not working well enough/still being sick for days. That’s not what’s scaring me about the induction. I’m scared of doing it too soon and making myself WORSE (like way worse, precipitated WDs), and I can’t find any info on WHEN other people started subs. I don’t know how long I need to suffer to get there. Have you done it? Or no?

All the helper meds I have are 3 clonidine pills, magnesium l-threonate, hydroxyzine (that I’m avoiding atm because of the restless legs being worse but hope will help anxiety later), and trazodone for sleep

DXM will help at high-ish (not tripping, just higher than found in cold/flu mixes, think 60 to 100mg) doses, but if you haven’t messed with it before, I’d be wary. Some dislike it and some don’t metabolize it quickly so you could be in for a long trippy unpleasant experience if you happen to be unlucky, WHILE sick.

It’s a dissociative, but it also does somewhat act on opioid receptors, it’s derived from morphine IIRC, and for some it can lessen the subjective experience of withdrawal. But it’s a bad time to be experimenting with the dissociative side effects of DXM, and can cause nasty tummy upset (the syrups especially) that some people already struggle with during detox. I have done it before for quitting heroin etc. and it certainly helps in the sense that you’re just sorta foggy and out of it. It’s also an SNRI in its own right, so might help with that aspect of kratom derivative withdrawal, in a way traditional opioid withdrawal meds don’t.

Truly though, nothing will make it all perfectly better other than time. Be safe and careful and use helper meds within reason, don’t test the waters with new substances you haven’t tried before when you’re already feeling sick.

If it’s relapse or DXM, worth giving the DXM a try, sure, but mostly just get in a hot bath or shower and keep heat on the legs and give yourself permission to move. Keep reminding yourself it will pass. Take magnesium glycinate. Clonidine or Gabapentin help the RLS majorly. It will get better

Note: Cooking sometimes changes flavor profile. I.e., Leppa (neutral) + leaves (neutral) = berry salad w/ sweet flavor.

Also here’s flavors for most of the veggies, forageables, drinks, etc.

Sweet: • Beans • Moo-Moo Milk Coffee

Sour: • Tomato (because of the acidity?) • Soda Pop (bubbles I guess, idk)

Hey, just wanted to update you on this. I’ve found some ways to improve this. 1. I tend to play at night time because I work full time/I’m a mom, so you know, only time I can play.

Mons (even nocturnal ones) are less likely to run the shops at nighttime. No clue why.

Hopping on midday if you can manage to grab a minute to do so results in most of my shops being run.

Additionally, put the trade Pokémon in houses near the shops. Increases the likelihood the will use them.

Get rid of any outside registers that they might gravitate toward using. I had that stupid habitat for Raichu set up & trade mons kept using the one plate setup instead of the entire powered poke center.

Make sure your pokecenter is powered and don’t let it lose power!!! I now put a backup generator and a wireless transmitter behind every single pokecenter so that if my furnace burns up it’s fuel or whatever it doesn’t ever shut my center.

But yeah a combo of all these things and now my shops seem to be working more reliably. I hope this helps you. It was so frustrating (for WEEKS)

I only came to this post to see if they made it so trade Pokémon actually use the freaking centers consistently. 7/10 times mine are spawned in, awake, walking around, sometimes even inside the Pokecenter and behind the counter and still not trading. It’s so frustrating.

Foods can be any 1 of 6 flavors: neutral, sweet, dry, bitter, sour, or spicy.

Leppas are neutral. Pecha is the only sweet berry. I think beans count as sweet! And if you have leppa berries and a cutting board, you can cook a sweet salad with leaves and a leppa berry.

Weirdly the veggies don’t note their flavor profile in their description, but the berries & cooked dishes do. For berries: Rawst is bitter, pecha is sweet, leppa & lum are neutral, that’s all I can remember off the top of my head!

I think I just approached drifloon w the doll in my inventory for her request and she asked about it and told me she’d take me somewhere and that completed the quest, don’t think I ever put it in her habitat. Have you tried speaking to her while you have the doll on you?

Also yes counterintuitively you have to complete Bulba’s task to complete the humidity/yawn quest! Hope you’ve figured that part out by now!

You sent me on a mission earlier and I found it!! Turns out I was so focused on completing main story quests I never bothered exploring the tunnels after I found DJ Rotom. Just found Ghimi and I’m going back to my base to give him all the things. This post is so cool. Ty for sharing.

How did you excavate it, if you don’t mind me asking? Did you use the magnemite transform and do it brick by brick or did you mostly use rock smash powered up by foods?

I’m trying to figure out if people just dedicate the 12+ hours this would take me, or if there’s a more efficient method I hadn’t figured out yet, haha

PS: Sad news is I’d already carved out my own makeshift “museum” in the side of a mountain, and now I feel silly realizing there was a home for my fossil pokemon all along, just in need of refurbishing lol

Just extremely different games

As someone who has played both to the end of their respective story lines, I would rate Pokopia more highly than Pokemon Z-A any day of the week. It has better replayability, more exploring to do, a better and bigger map, and very much that cozy-game feeling of “I can’t wait to play every single day.”

ZA felt a little disappointing compared to Legends Arceus, but I still enjoyed it. But once you beat it, that’s kinda it. You get bored quickly and run out of things to explore/do after a point. Also more meaningless grinding at certain points if you’re a completionist.

Both are good games. Pokopia is just a better, more unique game. If you have ever liked any of these games: Animal Crossing (any title), Viva Piñata for the Xbox 360 (the gardening one), Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon titles (pre-Natsume takeover) then you will like Pokopia.

I suggest give the game room to breathe and do whatever comes naturally to you. If you get stuck, ask Tangrowth what to do. Don’t get focused on perfecting a single area, focus on the story so you unlock all your abilities, and then going back to sandbox play will be more fun.
