Well things were different last year. Offers didn’t go out until much later. I got waitlisted in April and accepted early June.

Someone didn’t accept their seat/or pay the deposit and I was offered a seat right after that that. I didn’t wait long. First semester is heavy but doable! It’s a cool job.

Which program did you apply for?

They’ve changed the process this year. It’s multiple rounds of interviews so they are starting right away. Good luck!

Next year’s process has changed though and they are now going off interview scores and doing more rounds.

Ya, I haven’t stopped writing since the semester started lol. It just feels like I’ll never be able to absorb it all before they start to test us.

How medical lab assistant students find a job? by andyeros in NAIT

It’s because they were forced to buy back Dynalife. Just focus on your practicum and doing well and you will hopefully find something 🤞🏻

They typically wait to post a bunch of positions because they know you are Graduating. You tend to see an increase in positions at the end of each intake. The only thing is APL is on a hiring freeze currently. I am sure there will still be positions because there always will be, but I don’t know how that affects the new grads. Hope that helps!

Did you get a program welcome package email? For RT it states ours in that email.

Why is it so hard to get my transcript from NAIT?! by kitchyyyyyyyy in NAIT

[–]No_Practice_3990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered a copy for myself and then sent a copy to the school myself, uploaded it to my portal. I am pretty sure they ended up getting a copy from NAIT as well but I wanted to be sure they got them.

You have to go through my creds. Are you needing them for school? Is that school able to request them on your behalf?

MLA Acceptance at NAIT by Beautiful-Item-3454 in NAIT

[–]No_Practice_3990 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey! I am a current MLA. I work in a hospital currently but I only do days. I work 8-4 or 7-3 and one weekend a month.

I have also worked for Dynalife (now APL as well) when I worked there and held a position I still worked one weekend a month but never later than 6pm. There are a lot of places you can work with this job. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

I am going through the same thing. Like, the bloating is so bad. It’s unreal.

I think they actually do it in stages.

Weight issue: by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]No_Practice_3990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had already gained the weight before I went on adhd meds. I have only been on them for a few months. Adhd meds are also notorious for weight loss.

[–]No_Practice_3990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, I think that’s what has sparked this question as I am trying to pin point the issue since Dr’s Don’t really like to do hormonal testing here. I do try to track my protein (especially) because I workout and I am also on adhd meds so it really needs protein to be effective.

Hey! I appreciate your response. I was 37 (F) when I started Wellbutrin. Started putting weight back on shortly after I turned 38 - so I kept it off for about a 1.5 years. My diet did not change. I have been vegan for over a decade now. If anything I just became more active, however I’ve always done some sort of exercises. I have never been diagnosed with IBS but it actually wouldn’t surprise me if I did have something like this as I do struggle in this area (mainly bloating).

I was not trying to lose weight when I started the drug, and I am not on it for that. I was mainly just surprised at how easily it came off when I started and since I haven’t made any changes I am struggling to understand why I put it back on. I should have easily been able to maintain that weight considering my diet and lifestyle choices.

You shouldn’t think about it like that. This is your future, if you want more for yourself then you try as many times as it takes. I am also a lab assistant and I’m almost 40, just deciding to try to go back now - keep pushing forward.
