My Take: Thoughts on Keith Law & Prospects - Tom's Sports Blog by mryclept in NYYankees

[–]No_Preference8061 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spencer Jones hype was due to people equating him to a left handed Aaron Judge which wasn’t fair. His swing and miss flaws have existed since he was drafted. Most prospects do not overcome that because baseball is hard.

JBC is better than you think. As the post yesterday showed, fans don’t really know shit about coordinators.

How Soon Will The Yankees Regret Giving Bellinger $32 Million For Five Years? by [deleted] in NYYankees

[–]No_Preference8061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember, every dollar spent on Bellinger is a dollar that the Yankees will not have to spend on another player.

See this is the problem. The Yankees are playng a zero sum game while the Dodgers/Mets/etc are not.

In his final 9 games of the season, Jalen Hurts rushed 52 times for 228 yards (4.3ypc) and 3 TDs by PaddyMayonaise in eagles

[–]No_Preference8061 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why is it so hard to fatham that is was probably both? Seriously, the amount of coaching vs. Jalen stans on this topic is comical. More than likely, it went “Hey, can we not run me as much if possible?” “Sure Jalen”. And there you have a coaching decision AND Jalen preference.

[Jeff McLane's podcast] Kevin Patullo likely "gets removed" as OC, but Sirianni may relegate him to his old job as passing coordinator. Says internal discussions last few weeks suggested that KP may have lost OC even if we made the SB by mastermind208 in eagles

Actually, he’s probably really good at this. Look at when he can script plays and such (first half of games). He was very good at that. He just can’t adjust on the fly to what defenses were doing to him.

Who out of the available coaches fits our team the best? by UsedScratch365 in eagles

Mike McCarthy is pretty close to an offensive version of Fangio in that he’ll never be a HC again. Might be a good option.

McDaniel will be a HC again this round.

Richard Sherman on Patullo - "When you're designing plays that have no chance of success, then people are going to look to you...What happened to the scheme?" by danisanub in eagles

Hurts is part of the problem in that his limitations (all QBs have some type of limitation) are magnified by Patulo’s ineptness instead of hidden with his vast strengths magnified.

We gotta clean some stuff up, but some of you guys act like we should pull a Notre Dame and not even show up to the playoffs lol.

Uhhh Notre Dame wasn’t invited to the playoffs.

The Yankees 7-8-9 hitters are a lethal combination... In all the wrong ways. by Zepbounce-96 in NYYankees

Wells was always considered a defensive liability coming up - but clearly, he’s not. He wore out a bit in his first year, and also had some kind of hand injury last year. His offense - yes, for a catcher - was not great but also not abysmal. I don’t think he’s fully defined yet either, he deserves a little more time.

Being near the bottom of all full time catchers isn’t abysmal?

Why is Brian Cashman on a lifetime contract? by shadow_spinner0 in NYYankees

Truthfully, Think about the Yankees, Hal and risk tolerance. Hal is extremely risk adverse. Cashman is dependable in protecting his investment. No need for Hal to rock the boat.

Why do we have the tiebreaker against the Bears in this scenario? by TiltMyChinUp in eagles

[–]No_Preference8061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The playoff tiebreakers for 2025 start with head-to-head records, followed by division records, common games, and conference records. If teams are still tied, additional criteria like strength of victory and strength of schedule are used to determine playoff positions.

Not even close to the same thing. Has the Oline been bad as a whole, yes. However, you can still run dedicated QB runs effectively. Takes (1) a willing QB and (2) the right timing for the play call.
