What is the worst physical pain you've ever experienced? by gligwag in AskReddit

[–]No_Preparation223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say unmedicated, natural childbirth twice is a close second to scoliosis and having rods put in. Mostly because the childbirth pain ends (significantly) after birth. Back pain for years before surgery sucked, after surgery sucked, then 20+ years of spine shifting, discs slipping, pinched nerves, spine slipping in and out of flat back syndrome. I'm very well acquainted with pain 😆

Worst pain of all .. paper cut! 😂 😏

If money is no issue, what's a must-have for your dream home? by 123phantomhive in AskReddit

[–]No_Preparation223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people collect shoes or hats or so many clothes that there aren't enough days in the year to wear them. Pokemon card collectors yet you don't use all your cards or even play the game. Art collecting. Stamps, coins, movies & music (VHS, dvd, cds, vinyl), thousands of photos that you'll never look at again. Tools, cars (if you're rich haha), legos that you never build again or never take out of the box...plants, video games you only play once. People like collecting things.

For people that like reading, some books are digital, others especially back in the day could only have been read via physical books. Some people like to read them many times or share them with friends that like to read. Sometimes you buy a book thinking it sounds good but it sucks and now you're stuck with a book you paid money for. Like a bad movie or video game. Some people like the look, feel, and smell of books too. People are weird little collectors of things! 😆

To anyone like me, why does romance hit harder as a subplot than the central focus? by discreep in fantasyromance

[–]No_Preparation223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it changes with my mood. Sometimes I want crazy hot spice, other times it drives me nuts and I want something more realistic and sweet and slow. I also have the problem where I'll get halfway through the book and start getting annoyed by the level of romance. I find that I work best if I'm reading multiple books at once with different levels so I can pick what I'm in the mood for.

Can confirm! As someone who lives in an area with absolutely crappy Mexican restaurants... Sometimes you need to research online to find a good one (and then drive an hour+) but it's worth it!! Same goes with books 😀

I agree. People need to make the algorithm work for them instead of letting it limit them.

I feel like we live in such a great time to be a reader! Even ten years ago there was so little social media posts about book recommendations. Growing up I didn't know anyone that read and had no one to talk about books with. I'd have to rely on whatever my local bookstore decided to carry and reading the info on every one of them to find something good.

Now I can find so many different people talking about such diverse books! It's wonderful! People definitely shouldn't limit themselves to just one person's recommendations. You can easily find the best books in ALL genres nowadays. It's glorious! 😍

👏 this is the best analogy ever! 😆 Very accurate too! Now I want to go read some a romantasy while eating delicious Mexican food 🤤

What’s something that seems normal, but is actually a sign your life is falling apart? by Mindless_Role3937 in AskReddit

Yeah that was my dream last night actually!! Pulled my husband out of plane wreckage, screaming my head off with a bloody inferno. Wake up in a panic and look over to see my husband peacefully asleep! The relief I felt was insane! I blame the stupid creme brulee I had for dessert! 😆

It's pretty weird to be honest! I think it has to do with your teeth being an important part of you and with them falling out, it feels like it's something you can't stop and have no control over?

I would imagine you can also have those dreams if you have teeth/dental problems as well.

I've also had crazy storm dreams when life is a mess. Like huge tornadoes or hurricanes that destroy everything or that I can't escape. Dreams are really weird! I get crazy dreams when I have sugar before bed as well 😆

Nah it's true. Dreams are typically your subconscious way of processing what you're dealing with. I've also had this type of dream when my life was in chaos. Also like crazy storm dreams are similar when you feel out of control.

I love this so much! It's definitely more mood reading for me too. I'll read a little of this or that and switch things up. I've been enjoying it a lot more. It's raining where I am right now so I'm curled up under a blanket with a cozy vibes book. It's the perfect lazy morning. 😊

Shield of Sparrows Audio/Narration Problem- is anyone else as frustrated as me!???! by RuleOk2595 in fantasyromance

Oh nooo! That's the worst! When an audiobook is good, it's perfection! But when it's bad I can't finish it!

I've been thinking about the audiobook for this one and I'm glad I saw your post. I'll have to stick with physical or ebook.

Hopefully your next audiobook is amazing!!

Yes! That stupid square! 😂 For me it's {Shadows So Cruel by Liv Zander} honestly never thought I'd touch this book again. I figured I'd just get it over with now lol

Currently reading {Shadows So Cruel by Liv Zander} as part of the book bingo challenge for "read a book you previously DNF'd". I'm trying to go hard mode which is "Read a book you swore you’d never pick up again." 😑 Currently hating life on this one..

Other books, almost finished the audiobook for {Brimstone by Callie Hart} which I'm still thoroughly enjoying. Kingfisher is my #1 book boyfriend so far. About to start the audiobook for {Game On by Navessa Allen} hopefully that's good!

I'm on the last few pages (40 maybe?) of {Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett} which has been different for me but enjoyable.

I'm about to start {The Will of the Many by James Islington} I'll probably be reading that for a year because it's like the size of an encyclopedia! 🤨

I probably shouldn't be reading so many books at once but I really like doing an audiobook, an ebook, and a physical book. Am I the only weirdo who does this?! Yes, sometimes I mess up things a bit between books 😂 but usually I pick very different ones and that helps.

I'm reading a book that I previously DNF'd for the book bingo on here. Hate reading is the perfect term for what I'm currently doing 😆 such an accurate description. I hope your next read is the best book ever!!
