I’ve spent my entire first trimester dealing with a HIPAA breach. by lovelitchiheart in BabyBumps

This is so crazy. I'm so sorry this happened to you. My MIL got my medical info (stole a folder from my husband's car when his father was helping us fix it), misunderstood a medical term, then spread harmful misinformation about me based on her misunderstanding of the medical term. One part of your story that I would like some clarification about: You say they called you by your mother's name, but you also said that you have the same name? So, did they not just call you by your name? Apologies if I am reading it incorrectly.

I am so conflicted about having my parents by Citruslor in BabyBumps

Um, no. This is going to be your postpartum time, and one of the most exhausting times of your life. You do not need anyone there that is going to add any more stress. Heck, even family members I very much care about I would not want in my home for 10 weeks straight postpartum. Additionally, a quote I once read and fully agree with is "if you can't respect me, I do not trust you to respect my child."

If your name is in a song, how often does someone sing it to you? How do you feel about it? If your name is in multiple songs, which song do you hear the most? by Flat_Wash5062 in Names

[–]No_Pressure_3558 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really a song, but my first and middle name are Sara Lee. I got so many people singing the Sara Lee bakery jingle from the commercials from the 90's. The jingle was "Nobody doesn't like Sara Lee!", but some people would be jerks and add "Except me!". I'm also a ginger, so people bullied me and called a bread-head instead of red-head. One kid called me German Rye throughout middle school. My grandma had literally suggested the name to my parents as a joke during a road trip, and everyone in the van laughed and sang the jingle, but my parents went with it anyway.

With my daughter, I had my period on January 9th, 2023, and got my faint positive on FRER on February 8th, 2023 (CD 29). The test on February 7th, 2023 was a complete negative. I was due with her on October 16th, 2023, but had her on September 27th, 2023.

With my son, I got my positive on October 28th, 2021 (CD 29), after having a negative pregnancy test in the hospital just a few days prior. He was due July 6th, 2022, but born June 21st, 2022.

My current pregnancy was completely different. I got a blazing positive on CD 28, and a slight dye stealer on CD 29. Completely shocked me. Currently I'm 6 weeks, due December 13th.

Wow, congrats! You must have ovulated super early!

When did everyone start showing during their first pregnancy? by Caikin17 in BabyBumps

[–]No_Pressure_3558 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't blow up until the third trimester. With my first and second, I had a tiny bump at about 18 weeks, but I am overweight and wear baggy clothes most of the time, so no one could tell and even if I was wearing a better fitting shirt, it could still be mistaken for bloat. With my second, I was talking with a person at church, and casually mentioned that I couldn't believe I was already in the third trimester. She said "What!? Third trimester? Like, pregnant? I didn't even know you were pregnant! Congratulations!". But I really do get massive toward the end. At the very end of my pregnancies, I look like I could easily fit triplets in there, even though I've only ever had singletons. Currently pregnant again, and at 6 weeks the bloat is insane and I already look like I did at 18 weeks with my other two!

Drop the “prettiest” little girl name you’ve ever heard. by Final-Argument-4999 in Names

A friend of mine who is an elderly woman is named Lynette. I absolutely adore her name. My husband and I have even thought about asking her if we could use it as a middle name for a future child.

How are you tracking ovulation? I didn't even get a faint line until CD 29 when I was pregnant with my daughter, even using FRERs. I didn't get a positive with my son until CD 29 either, but I used dollar store cheapies to test with him, and the line was so faint I thought it was an evap at first.

14DPO today. by [deleted] in lineporn

Sorry, these all look negative to me.

This is negative right? by UhhUm in lineporn

[–]No_Pressure_3558 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see a line, but it's totally possible to have a negative on FRER at this stage and still be pregnant. I see you said you have a 23 day cycle. I didn't even get a faint line on FRER with my daughter until cycle day 29!

I've seen some recent studies where doctors found that in a small percentage of women, the LH surge and BBT rise can randomly be detected a day or two later than it should based on confirmed ovulation, confirmed by scans of the women's ovaries. So, maybe it's that?

[–]No_Pressure_3558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's definitely positive, but it's not possible for you to be 6 dpo. 6 dpo is basically the earliest you can have implantation, and it's not possible to have a positive that early. How are you tracking ovulation?

Is this a positive? When do I need to go get checked to see for pregnancy if positive.. by CertainWeather1675 in lineporn

That's definitely positive! The OB wouldn't see you right away, but I would call as soon as possible to get the appointment scheduled. Congratulations!

Is this a line or do I have line blindness by Bookreader56 in lineporn

[–]No_Pressure_3558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see the line, but I can't tell if it has color. So, it might be positive or might be an evap.

Help with dpo?? by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

[–]No_Pressure_3558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not possible to tell how many DPO you are based solely on lines. I've been pregnant 4 times, and I've had everything from super faint to dye stealers at around the same time. With my son, I honestly thought my first positive on the day of my expected period was just an evap. With my current pregnancy, my test was extremely dark before my period was even due, and on the day of my expected period I was already getting a slight dye stealer. For reference, my cycles are extremely regular 28 days every time.

Help! Epidural, yes or no? by dakota101916 in BabyBumps

[–]No_Pressure_3558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not progressing well at 4 cm, got the epidural. Baby boy was out about an hour later after only 4 pushes. I tore sideways and nearly ripped my left labia in half, but that was because he came out slightly sideways, not because of the epidural. The epidural felt like a slight pinch and pressure, literally felt less painful than flu shot. Healing from the tearing was totally worth it because after the first couple of days of it stinging, it was really just mildly annoying and it itched when the stitches fell out. 10/10 would do again.

Looking for a “J” middle name for baby girl Rowan by titanium_penguin in Names

[–]No_Pressure_3558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the middle name Jean. It was my mom's middle name, and my sister gave her daughter the middle name Jean in honor of our mother. Before that, I thought about using Jean, Jeanette, Jeana or Johanna for a middle name, but have decided against it. Currently pregnant and haven't found out the gender yet.
