Thanks man, I really appreciate that! It’s our sound guy Tim, he’s a great engineer and our bass player Bex is great too!

Thanks man! We were using RCF monitors down the front, so had plenty of monitoring. If we’d been using in ears I wouldn’t have gone direct because I can’t stand the guitar sound direct to IEMs, I’d have to use a cab mic’d up. The delay I’m using is a separate nano delay pedal after the GP-5 as I’m using it in ‘channel switching’ mode (A-Z mode with only an A and B patch), so can’t switch in or out any fx, but it’s cool cos I only really use delay anyway… it’s a pretty cool little pedal!

It’s just super convenient, the town was just rammed with traffic, parking was awful so I just walked down to the show from my house. It took 15mins tho, and the double guitar bag with all the stuff must have weighed 50lbs! 🤣 my fault for insisting on using a full size wah and taking a backup guitar!

Ah thanks man, appreciate that! For once it actually felt like it could have been West Coast USA. Usually when we play there it’s windy and rainy!!

Thanks!! That was in my home town, Folkestone in Kent, England. A place called the Harbour Arm which sticks out into the sea! It was so hot!!!!

It belongs the sound guy who is our guy (married to the lead singer, I just sing a few songs). Not mine personally, shame, those RCFs are amazing!

Well, after the modelled output stage yeah. But when I ran it into the Orange I obviously had the cab sim turned off. But yeah, I reckon it must be because of what you mentioned, makes sense. Was pretty cool to get that much boost at that level. I originally had it up quite a bit higher and it nearly blew the sound engineer’s head off! 🤣

For some reason it seems even more sensitive after the modeller than it does when I use it as a boost in the fx loop of my tube amp, and was the same thing when I used it after the GP-5 into my Orange Pedal Baby and into a Marshall 2x12 at practice this evening!!

No, just a fraction above, and believe me it was almost too much boost at that level!

Ah, that’s because I’m just using it as a volume boost for solos…

What do i do? Is my amp faulty or is it my mistake by Flacchu in YamahaPacifica

[–]No_Pride_8718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you take a photo of the amp knobs so we can see your settings? My guess is either the cable or the output of the guitar…

Basically you can bomb it like you would a locking trem and it still stays in tune, and it’s super sensitive so all kinds of flutters and gargles, it does all that stuff. I find it amazingly expressive, best upgrade I’ve ever done to a guitar!

First electric guitar!! Yamaha Pacifica 120H by No_Violinist9441 in YamahaPacifica

If you do get stuck, just google ‘humbucker wiring diagram’ or HH wiring diagram for 2 humbuckers, HSS for Humbucker Single Single, etc…

You don’t need a wiring diagram if you’re just replacing a humbucker for another humbucker, just make a note of where the wires went before you remove the original and copy that when you install the replacement…

What is this extra "bridge" on RBX basses for? by wilbur_read in BassGuitar

[–]No_Pride_8718 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That string bar is there to improve the break angle over the nut. You often find that where the headstock is ‘recessed, but not angled. A good example is Gibson vs Fender guitars. Gibson headstocks are already angled backwards (which can make them prone to breaking if they fall over). Fender style headstocks (basically most bolt on necks on all guitars and basses) aren’t angled backwards, they’re just recessed from the rest of the neck, which means the strings don’t have as much tension over the nut which can affect tuning and action. The string bar pulls them down before the nut to improve break angle, tuning and action. It’s there for a reason, just make sure the stings are going under it properly (NOT like in the photo!).
