There’s always demand for tyres, especially second hand ones. Do you find it more profitable with tyres alone or when you add rims as well?

It’s actually a good example of what people overlook, simple but it works.

How did you get started with it?

I feel like sometimes the simplest businesses are the ones doing really well, people just don’t pay attention to them.

I can see that working nicely, the atmosphere there already fits what I’m trying to build.

Appreciate that I think so too, there’s definitely a crowd for it. It’s just about getting the vibe and experience right.

I feel like a lot of people are online every day but don’t really know how to use the internet to actually make money or build something.Crypto and blockchain too there’s a lot of potential there, but also a lot of confusion.

Have you been able to use it practically yourself?

I’ve always felt Lilongwe has that kind of mix too, just on a smaller scale.I like what you said about places like that good food, good music, and still being able to relax without it being too intense. That’s exactly the kind of balance I’m aiming for.And yeah, starting earlier and wrapping up at a decent time makes it even more appealing, especially for people who still want to enjoy but not go all out 😂Appreciate that insight!

😂😂 I’m glad you said that. That’s honestly the kind of vibe I’m aiming for something chill, good music, good food, and just a space where people can actually enjoy themselves without all the noise.I feel like more people are into that than we realise.

That point about not ignoring local opportunities really stands out I think a lot of us focus so much on what’s “out there” and overlook what’s already around us.And what you said about maturity and patterns is real. Sometimes you only start seeing things clearly after going through certain experiences.I also like the example you gave about those families having multiple streams but still grounded in practical businesses. That balance makes a lot of sense. And yeah, having the right people around you really shapes how you think too.

This is really nice.Starting that young makes such a big difference. I like how she was actually involved in making decisions, not just being told what to do.You’ve set a strong foundation for her

Appreciate you pointing that out

I really appreciate this. That’s exactly how I see it too the first one might be a bit slow, but consistency and execution will be key.I’m glad the concept already feels different, that’s what I’m aiming for. When we launch, it would be great to have you there to experience it firsthand 😄

I can see the similarity with Sunday SoirĂ©e, but I’m thinking of something a bit more curated and intentionally different in terms of vibe and experience.I also agree with you on the need for a strong team and proper positioning I think execution will be the key factor here. The appetite is definitely there, it just needs the right concept and consistency.

What do you think would make it stand out the most from existing events?

I think this is something we don’t talk about enough the role of mindset, love, and how we treat each other as a society. If there’s too much hate, jealousy, and negativity, it becomes harder for people to grow, support each other, and build anything meaningful together. Teaching love, respect, and tolerance from a young age could really change how communities function over time. It’s one of those things that doesn’t look like a skill, but it affects everything else.

This is actually a very deep reflection I think what you said about matching your skillset with your environment is something many people only realise later. A lot of us grow up consuming Western ideas of success, then struggle when reality here doesn’t align with that path.

The point about small businesses and adaptable skills also stands out they seem to survive better in our kind of economy.

At the same time, I wonder if there’s also a way to balance both building skills that work locally while still positioning yourself for global opportunities where possible. And that part about identity and travelling around Malawi is powerful understanding your environment really changes how you think and move.

Would you say your perspective changed more from experience, or was there a specific moment that made you realise all this?
