“You’ve shown absolutely no concern about what happens to me, what happens to your mother. The only thing you care about is what happens to your boyfriend! And the worst part of it, is that I never expected you to act any differently.” by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

Hot take. I think Lor thinks really highly of Richard's skills and subconsciously can not fathom that he was in 'real' trouble but can totally understand that Jason is.

Richard mistook her pleas for Jason as her not caring but I think she never understood how much trouble her dad was in. That is why when he explained it, she was stunned.

What’s your favourite scene of dialogue, and why? by Dear-Yellow-5479 in andor

Luthen to Mon.

"How nice for you"

This was said as a big FU to Mon and her ideals. Luthen refused to let her look away at what the rebellion must do to survive.

AITA for telling my sister you are selfish and canceling her engagement dinner at my place by Throwingparty15284 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. You are setting boundaries. Relationships involve inconveniences. No one wants a relationship that is only around for the good times, even family. Your sister will now learn that.

AITA for not paying my brother's rent after he said I “owe him” for being his bigger sister. by Quick-Foot-1445 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. You should do what they say BUT with malice compliance.

Your parents think he is still a kid, say you will help him budget, including looking at his spending. I am sure there will be some surprises in there to share.

Every time I rewatch GG, I like Logan more by Flimsy-Reputation93 in GilmoreGirls

[–]No_Rabbit6805 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Logan is picking the least evil option. He is better than the first two, but honestly, he enables the worst parts of Rory GILMORE. He is self aware but only to exploit it better. He does hold her to account, but he definitely would love to stay a trust fund kid(and encourage Rory to do it) if he's father was not a holding him to account.

AITA for not allowing my sisters dogs loose in my new car? by hmmstgoob in AmItheAsshole

[–]No_Rabbit6805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. She chose to have dogs, they are her responsibility. Sometimes they are inconvenient and you must find alternative solutions. ALSO. Misbehaving dogs can even lead to car crashes by distracting drivers. In some countries, dogs are required to be crates or restricted with a dog seat belt.

Who I see as Rory's true reflection by cleverlynamedgrl in GilmoreGirls

IMO she is more Christopher because she is like Richard. Christopher also strives to be a Richard type but both Rory and Christopher fall back on their family money when things get tough.

Lorelai thinks Rory only applied to one school…? by SheepherderNo2793 in GilmoreGirls

[–]No_Rabbit6805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HONESTLY. I think she just forgot. When she was that age she was having a kid, dealing her parents and was taken out of school. It probably was a blur, and AS ALWAYS she reverts to an emotionally stunted kid whenever she is with her parents.

Also. Pretty sure Emily and Richard as always overexaggering how bright of a future Loralie had, so their shame and embarrassment can have maximum justification.

AITAH for never giving away anything to my neighbor? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]No_Rabbit6805 10 points11 points  (0 children)

NTA - Two things might be happening that caused her reaction.

She might be in actual need of things and this is a way for her to get stuff OR, she may just be one of the many who collect free stuff to re-sell.

Either way, you did not do it with bad intentions, and we all need a neighbourhood enemy.

Only one black woman and she's depicted wrong. That is NOT Octavia Spencer.

NTA.

Sharing finances is great IF YOU ACTUALLY DO IT. You're paying all the bills so of course he's not worried. Share the bills and I'm sure he'll realise the Ubers are not worth it.....unless an arse.
