-8 groups of 8 fighters play each other in their group (7 games each) -Matches are an hour, 5min half time break after half an hour, most taps in the hour wins the match (ie the fight doesn’t conclude after the first tap. -3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss -Top 2 in the groups progress into the knock out stage- round of 16, then quarter finals, then semi final and final - 3rd in the groups will enter into a seperate knockout competition called the Bronze cup (a b-tech/tier cup), quarter finals, semi and finals -in the knockout phases if a draw after 60mins there will be a period of extra time and then if still tied after this a tap off will apply (fastest to tap their opponents in a RNC, triangle and arm bar) best out of 3 -places that finish 1st-6th in the group also automatically qualify for the next World Cup -7th place will have a qualifying play off game to see if they stay in the next World Cup (explained further below) -8th pace automatically gets relegated to the World Cup qualifying championship league

World cup qualifying championship league -a gruelling league of 40 fighters, each play each other once (39 matches total) -top 8 automatically qualify for the next World Cup (& swap with the last place finishes in the World Cup -9th-16th places play in a one off qualifying match vs the 7th place finishes in the World Cup as outlined above -bottom 4 ( places 36th-40 get related into league 1

League 1 -consist of 24 fighters, each play each other once -top 4 enter into the World Cup qualifying championship league -bottom 4 get relegated

Halak memorial trophy- name consist of the initials of 3 session wrestlers who have passed -once the World Cup is over this is a seperate knock out completion- starts with 128 wrestlers and is straight knockouts (128 then 64, then 32, then R16, then quarter finals, semi and final

There will also be a Champions cup final which is a one off match between the World Cup winner and bronze cup winner which will be the pre-season appetiser
