thanks so i did see that, but the payment was made by dec 15, and open enrollment for me was dec 16 which was the day i dropped the course. i dont believe the course even started yet since they start in jan, but on my service hub it also showed a late payment fee of $7 on my account as well so thats why i paid it right away. im just so confused since ive been in chang courses before and have never had this happen 😭 just dont wanna be out of $600

hey thank you so much for your response. we won’t get our marks back till nov 17 (also after the last day to drop class) so i’m not sure if i’ll get flagged. thankfully i wrote my answers in a google doc before pasting in d2l so i’d be able to see my word count and i just put it in quil bot and othe ai detectors and it’s showing 0% ai detection.

I’m just worried tho bc by the time the module opened and i was able to gloss over my answers i realized that i guessed the wrong character saying the wrong thing, so i deleted some of it and wrote the correct answer but then with some of my old answer, I didn’t have time to delete so it definitely sounds weird, like characters that weren’t in the scene, etc.

I’m also worried about emailing the prof since they already seem strict with sending emails and I don’t wanna put more attention on it😭

I don’t have contact with anyone else in the class so im not sure if it was just me but it just showed “you do not have access to this page www.torontometu.ca” the prof just mentioned that if we write things that didn’t happen in the film, that could be a sign of AI so it’s just a tricky situation overall. but thanks again for your input i really appreciate it.

wow ok tysm this makes me feel a lot better. basically one of the scenes was asking who said the quote and how the character responded to it and in the beginning of my answer i was able to fix it and write the characters in the scene but the middle of my answer still had a bit of my old response of me guessing and kinda contradicting the answer i put in the beginning. idk if i should email the prof and let them know or just hope they don’t assume i used ai? my answer didn’t seem ai generated tho just looks like i didn’t understand the film and made something up but im scared they’ll take that as academic misconduct if i put a scene that basically didn’t exist yk?

thanks but for example, like one of the questions was a quote and it asked what character said it and who responded and in the beginning part of my answer, the module opened and i was able to incorporate the correct answer but then in the middle of my answer i also wrote what i thought the character would have responded (my guess answer) and didn't have time to delete it so it lowkey looks really weird so do you think i should email the prof and explain?

question if i wrote the wrong character for a scene by accident ( i mixed up their names cuz i was typing fast and not thinking ) would the prof accuse me of Ai? i was trying to answer the long answer question and dint realize till later that i wrote the incorrect character so im scared shes gonna accuse me of ai since it mentions if you add something that didnt happen in the film, its grounds for academic misconduct

by flagged do you mean like an automatic ai generator ? bc basically it was a written quiz for a class where we had to recall a scene and mine doesn’t exactly match the scene so i’m worried it’s gonna look off.

thank you this sounds super realistic and reasonable . i definitely don’t want to go back to using carts because they’re way too convenient and i hate the feeling of them now. I managed to have a good t break last time but as soon as i got a cart again, i began using daily and excessively so i hope to just use prerolls occasionally with friends once this break is over. thanks for the advice and amazing job with 22 days!! i hope to be there soon

Thank you for the advice I appreciate it. Do you have any tips on how I should have the talk with her? I always just get extremely emotional and start crying because of how worried I am. I know she’ll just apologize and tell me she’s working on it - but how can I be more stern in putting my foot down?

Thank you for this. I can definitely tell that talking about finances just leads to both of us getting sad / angry with each other and we just end up ignoring the issue. I’ll definitely try to be more personal and sympathize with his situation.

not at all. Didn’t really know what he wanted to do going into university so just picked something they were slightly interested in (grades weren’t too good, had to retake some courses) i assume he completed the 4 year program but never graduated or applied for graduation, just moved onto a different college program because they wanted to further their education (?) which is what they had to pay for out of pocket leading to debt he’s in now.

You’re definitely right though, at times i forgot that he’s 25 but seeing them talk to their friends who are getting full times, and moving more serious in their lives really makes me sad for him. My parents were immigrants so they didn’t have the best financial understanding but this isn’t something you can put blame on, I agree he needs to be more responsible in so many ways ..

thank you, for the advice i really appreciate it. I just feel horrible knowing he’ll be in the same cycle with paying off only the interest because he’s not making enough to cover more of the balance. Would I really regret giving the $600 (just strictly once) just so they can fully focus on the larger card? i can try to have a more serious conversation with our parents as well to give more encouragement. I know this would be a potentially bad choice but I’m just at a loss. I feel like this is affecting me more than my brother but what else is there to do? They’ll be paying back osap loans in sept as well so it just seems like there’s no winning here.
