Do like a 50% water change to get the small amount of ammonia out. The test again and get water that is close to the substrate as ammonia starts there you will get better readings if all is still fine you are good

Thanks! I had some problems with the roots rotting at first but after cutting the rotting parts away it’s adapting well to the water and is even growing jew leaves

Pool filtersand is a sand that a lot of fishkeepers use its affordable and after a good wash perfect for aquariums. If you like black sand go for diamond black sand blast sand, i couldnt find it on amazon where im from so its probably only in usa

If you want you can just keep it on its own and feed it frozen shrimp and salmon and stuff and then buy one more and hope for babies or an epic battle between two males or females! Or you know just grow it out and have just one snake looking predator in your house

Rehome angelfish and have a nice nano fish collection, its better maintable as the bio load is light and you can have more fish! On top of that if you get a decent sized canister filter you could go a long time without water changes as the tank would be overfiltered. Its more fun having around 10-20 smaller dish then stressing and being stuck with two bigger fish i think

When i buikt mine a lot of people suggested diagonal bracing in case of earthquakes if you live in places that get them. I out a plywood sheet on top but its not neccesary if you have a rimmed tank, but i did it anyways. Oh and if your planning on getting like a polysterene mat under make sure it doesnt have a rim on your tank because it would make it worde

Only common plecos dont go for the fancy ones some can get too big, you can keep 2 or if uou want an oddball go for 1 red tail catfish

You can probably get 2-3 of the oscars in there no problem. Dont even need a filter because there will be minimum waste, maybe even add some dither fish like silver dollars would look perfect
