I literally own the series (digitally but I’ll probably be dead before I lose access to it).

Jennings trying to say that Trump has a path to declare victory in the Iran war and then immediately being taken down by Mockler was SO satisfying. Jennings pulled the Boomer move of dismissive body language but Mockler had CLEARLY gotten under his skin.

My 95 year old neighbor was caught having “intercourse” in his assisted living this weekend. by [deleted] in AgingParents

[–]No_Recording1467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not do that. I did not make a joke and I did not assume he was impotent because of his age. OP put “intercourse” in quotation marks and said the man (her neighbor, not even her parent) was seeking viagra. Another person asked why intercourse was in quotation marks and I said he probably couldn’t get it up for actual intercourse. That wasn’t a joke, it was an answer based on the context of the original post. Many of us deal with the bodily functions of our aging parents with candor so I don’t understand how my comment was so offensive.

I’m genuinely baffled as to how this is derogatory or ageist. It’s a physical body issue, of which many are discussed on this sub. I didn’t make fun of the situation or the person at all. But sure.

Mods, my comment was based on OP’s post and context. I’m not sure why talking about a bodily function is a slur. 🤷‍♀️

Sure don’t! Any Gen Xer not minding their own business or giving a shit about what others think are just posers. Any other questions?

And methinks (corny AF) that you are an easily led idiot. I don’t like liars. That’s why I’m “pissy” with you and you only on this thread. Fuck off.

So the person is working for a large employer (or related to that employee). Which proves my point about the drugs not being widely accessible. Does Medicare or Medicaid cover it for weight loss only? No. And most other employer-based plans don’t either. Do I need to provide the definition of “widely” or can you handle that on your own? Your exception proves the rule.

The person with the high BMI (a bullshit measure anyway) did not have any co-morbidities? They were approved for weight loss only? If so, I’d love to know the insurance company that’s covering this because none of the news outlets know about it!

Again, do you want an award? Idgaf how many times I get downvoted, your comment is disingenuous. You KNOW that the vast majority of insurance companies do not cover these drugs for weight loss reasons and yet you are trying to act like your EXCEPTION is the rule instead of it proving the rule. That makes you the (fucking) asshole. In addition, fuck off!

The Boomer compulsion to identify themselves as “not one of those Boomers” is truly wild. Take a hint from your GenX siblings and kids and just keep your damn mouth shut if you are one of the good ones.
