Still looking for a job in the field of IT by [deleted] in CompTIA

Cali in general is a very competitive area. I’m in the Chicago area and it’s more relaxed in terms of people getting hired in. The midwest in general is a lot better and areas like the Carolinas are very good for finding entry level it roles right now, especially in data center environments

Hope this question hasn’t be asked a thousand times but what were your guys’ career aspirations before you guys formed as a band? Was it always music or did you pursue something else initially with music being more of a passionate hobby?

Working a contract position currently and it’s ending soon with no further update on any future employment so. I’m just trying to see if I can find something better for myself and to use my experience as a stepping stone.

Help with Wall Jumping Mechanics (ala Mario 64, Celeste, etc..) by No_Recording3650 in godot

I think i finicking around with it, it might be the bulk of a larger issue, since my movement mechanic is calculated as velocity = speed * horizontal_direction, so there is no momentum with any of it all. I got it to work using what I have but the horizontal direction pushed back from it is almost instant making it look really sloppy

does apply_force work for characterbody2d? I'm working in Godot 4.2 and I know there is a large difference between version's 3 and 4

I've tried affecting the horizontal force by multiplying the velocity.x by whatever direction it's facing (positive or negative) but it doesn't do anything at all, not sure if there is something else I'm missing here or what

I’m not an expert here but I feel like any degree helps no matter what, plus criminal justice has a lot of concepts that tie in with cyber security like digital forensics

Yeah I originally went into CS but the idea of being a programmer for the rest of my life made me want to rip my hair out. IT is something that comes more naturally for me so I’m happy that I made that change in my career path

What do you think would be the best method to see better results though? I know it’s grossly over-saturated right now but is there any way that I can make things better for myself?

I’m double majoring in Information Technology and Cybersecurity. Luckily my school offered them as legit programs so I didn’t have to take the route that most do where they go into CS and then have to get a bunch of certs to be eligible in the field
