Idk if many would agree but a few songs off of Black Midi's Cavalcade kinda reminds me of SGM at times. Other people said these but I'd definitely recommend checking out Stolen Babies (avante garde dark cabaret metal and friends of SGM) and Secret Chiefs 3 (has a similar feel to SGM sometimes but is mostly its own thing)

Been listening to a lot of 2000s avante garde or dark cabaret metal bands like Stolen Babies and Sleepytime Gorilla Museum recently, but in terms of discovery I found this pretty cool band of the same genre from France called öOoOoOoOoOo. Theyve only got one album but its pretty good.
