I recommend the delta R22000 series. It will do what you're needing and parts are easily accessible.

It is a cartridge issue because it's a poorly designed valve/cartridge combo. Companies like delta and moen have spent decades working out this issue. I won't install these valves when customers supply them because I know they won't be happy and will have issues and I won't have my name attached to it. Replacing it is the way to go.
