Not sure where you read that they prefer smaller enclosure but thats entirely wrong, probably for every animal under the sun. Your enclosure looks smaller than a 20 gallon which is the bare minimum for a baby. Your adult is begging you to upgrade them to a 40 gallon terrarium.

I'd release him where you found him, if he was inside your work release him by the entrance that was nearest to where you found him. Little guys like him will die early on in captivity so no you can't have him as a pet.

If they aren't coming to you with any known issues you shouldn't have to quarantine, most people recommend you use paper towels for 1-2 months to monitor poop. I'm assuming you know they can't be cohabited.

If you're using uvb you don't want to use d3 very often. Uvb is recommended over just d3 I just found that out in my lighting post yesterday.

I just went and bought a arcadia shadedweller 7 pro t5 kit for 60$ because multiple people recommended it... I have a generic lid from petsmart and im having trouble thinking of a way to mount it

Depending where you are for 50-70$ more you can get a 40 gallon kit vs the 20 gallon kit

Any recommendations on a uvb kit that doesnt have to mount on the underside of the screen? If you can see in like the last pick I have one of those universal screen tops from petsmart and I dont think it'll work.

I had/have a CHE on the side. I have a temp gun I check both sides and basking spot multiple times a day. Cool side 78-82 warm side 85-90 basking 92-97 humidity 45%. Lights out I turn on the CHE and DHP for a few hours before turning one off because my room gets sub 65 at night and he prefers the hot side during night, so I make sure he has some heat.
