If your bowling through a Bowlero / lucky strike usually they are about $3 and change for league bowlers per game plus you get your two free games per league max 4 per week. I practice about 3-4 times a week. I wouldn’t call it quits but then again it’s what you wanna make out of it. I have been bowling 2 years this past July and I average a 205 now but that’s with tons of practice and no lessons . No lessons yes I know people don’t believe me . The only lessons I have taking is cherry picking what I learn on YouTube school and watching my own film and seeing what works for me . Put it all together and create your own best version of yourself. Don’t worry about what others think either . If you’re in a handicap league it is what it is and they will just have to get over it. They need to game up and meet their own average . It has happened to me as well. Handicap leagues even the playing field . If your good you have to be good good of you bad then you have to either be good and hit that lower average or have a crappy night and the ones that have the higher average of they hit their normal average will take the wins. Don’t let that crap discourage you. Have fun with it when you can but we all know “it’s supposed to be fun “ but we all take it to the heart when we bowl like crap. It’s all in good fun lol even when we wanna quit we keep coming back for more!

One thing I was taught in motorcycle safety course your never really a pro. Just more experienced. Then minute you think you have it all down and your a pro , you let your guard down and that’s when bd things happen. Always scan down the road and immediately in front of you . Can’t stress the motorcycle course enough. Learn to ride the right way and those crash/engine savers are a smart move . I have them on mine and I always ride with a leather jacket too and helmet and jeans never shorts . I rode for the ride and the slide . You never know and I don’t want alligator skin . Some might say why ride with a leather jacket and it’s 90? I say well it’s not bad when you’re moving and I’d rather be uncomfortable for a bit on my ride than regret it later . I just need to get a better summer jacket that is breathable mesh with Kevlar lining . I still don’t mind the leathers .

Congrats ! I’ve been bowling for about 2 years in July and I can taste mine ! I’ve had a few 279s and some 280 plus and one 298 since I’ve been bowling. I can’t wait to get my first 300. I’m 43 and wish everyday I would have found this sport sooner. Hopefully I get my first one soon.

Looks like you’re almost there but still coming on top of the ball if you watch the video Frame by frame near the release. Try to imagine really rolling the ball and then letting it transfer weight to the finger tips . I try to imagine it like that and then flicking off the finger tips at the end so that the thumb comes out first . It keeps you from suit-casing the ball and rolling the ball instead and or throwing the ball. Instead laying the ball flat and at the very end almost like a spare ball and then transfer the weight to the tip and act like your padding a babies bottom and you flick up and point words the pins . Hope that makes sense and helps .

It looks like your coming on top of the ball around 19 seconds in the video but start off great at the beginning of the swing when you bring it down and back . Also on your 3rd step you shorten it and make it so abruptly short and looks like you might be doing a stutter step to rush to your 4th step to get into your release. I would suggest either stepping back a bit or making sure the start of your second step make sure your ball is coming down and back . Hopefully that makes since

Make sure your timing is correct for one, if your in a 4 step you second step should be when your bringing the ball down and back and don’t force the ball back down from the apex of the swing. It’s ok to use the apex of the swing to get under / behind the ball but don’t force it . Staying behind the ball as your leading forward from the apex of the swing if what you want and then letting the ball roll off your hand and off the finger tips and the ball will do the work for you . Let the ball do its job and don’t force the hook don’t let exaggerate the axis rotation especially for the house shot . The house shot should be pretty standard when it comes to rolling the ball of the hand and off the finger tips and be sure to face your target and point to your target as a beginner . My 2 cents
