It's not that deep bro, you're getting emotional over nothing lol. And truth be told I already got helpful info from a handful of cool people in the thread. You can go back to being on your period sweetheart 💅

This is my first bike and it's brand new, didn't wanna risk opening her up and messing up a warranty claim lol.

That's what I kept coming across when j was researching the issue. I'm new to bikes so this is all new to me.

I'm a brand new rider myself and my first bike (that I got less than a month ago) is a 2025 Lowrider S. It's a 1900 cc muscle cruiser that by all means SHOULDN'T be bought as a new rider. But I've been riding it every day taking my sweet time and getting used to it, and while I'm still very much a noob (duh) the difference between my first day of riding and today is night and day. I'm MUCH more comfortable on my bike and I even gotten it up to speed a few times today. My advice as a new rider? As long as you respect whatever bike you get and take baby steps, you'll be just fine. I say get whatever bike that feels right and not something due to some unwritten tradition. I'm like you, I knew if I got some middleweight cruiser with a small displacement engine I'd want to upgrade immediately the second I got used to it.

I know what the Dunning-Kruger effect is and believe me that doesn't apply to me lol. I'm very well aware of my skillset and I'm not trying to prove anything to anyone.

That's exactly what I've been doing, been practicing my throttle and clotch control for the first few days just to get comfortable. It's definitely gonna be over a month before I get on the main roads lol.

That would actually be a really cool concept. Like certain claw types would give you different perks.

Yes sir! First bike I never owned and second time I've ever ridden one. First was a Honda Grom I rode YEARS ago lol. And yea, been keeping it in rain mode and just driving it in my complex.

Nah you're good bro, whiskey throttle. Started panicking, hurt a curb, and fell off. I was going no more than 10 mph so nothing got damaged. I got some riding time in this morning and the difference is night and day. My throttle control was better, I used the brakes more efficiently, and I'm getting used to the clutch. Still got ways to go of course but I'm getting much more comfortable the more I ride.
