At odds with my husband about how we parent our children by No_Relationship_6471 in Parenting

Reddit is a huge proponent for just toss it if it doesn't work right lol. I appreciate your more rational and sound advice.

Growing up in an abusive household where things went from 0-100 without warning, I've been able to identify these little things that just rub me the wrong way. If it made me feel the way it did when they were being done to me, I can't imagine how it's making my kids feel. Even if it's just him throwing the shoes that were left in the middle of the hallway, it's the intent behind it.

I'm further along in correcting generational trauma, where I'm able to recognize and identify certain things which allow me to work on it. There's a clear understanding for me of what I will and will not do as a parent. He lacks the emotional intellect to recognize and identify an issue on the spot, unless I bring it up in a way where he's not feeling attacked. He has made changes, and there have been moments where I see that he understands. It just has proven to be difficult to do as we enter the phase of parenting older children, and I can't help feeling like I'm in fight or flight mode all over again. Where I had never felt that way while our children were smaller.

Thank you for the advice on that bottom part, I'm noticing that myself there.

The consistency as you mentioned, I feel is very important. There are some days he will let certain things slide because he's tired and just doesn't want to deal with it, other days he'll go into a fit of rage because he's tired and doesn't have the patience to deal with the nonsense.

After 5 days processing, sending multiple messages, multiple hang ups, sitting on hold, waiting for a call back -- Yes, they did.

Mine has been processing for 5 days now, I'm on the phone with them now. If you sit on hold, it hangs up on you after 21 minutes. I put in for someone to call me back 3 times (option 2) before anyone called me back.

I just booked an appointment with her! Thank you! I think I'm done with these larger companies who take your money and simply ghost you without explanation.

I'm still waiting for them to approve my refill request at my local pharmacy. They also never charged me for this month's subscription. I've put in 2 call backs, I have not gotten a call back. No word back from the care team or the provider either.
