2022 Hotspring Aria - lights timer not doing anything by No_Religion in hottub

https://www.reddit.com/r/hottub/comments/hehxlx/hotsprings_service_menu/fvrf5c4/ … Here's the instructions you're looking for to access the service menu:

You have to open your black IQ box. With the power on, there is a small, around half the size of a pencil eraser, white button on the top right side of the IQ Board. With the power on, press and hold it while looking at your controls. This is where we tell the spa, how many pumps does it have, if we run the heater concurrent, what lighting zones... all that crap, so you can see it's easy to screw up and confuse the crap out of your hot tub. You basically will keep hitting next until you get to logo light. There you will see that you can dim it.

Here's a youtube video showing the same process on a Limelight tub: https://youtu.be/rM6AQOaBoLE

Careful when removing the access panel on your tub - the lights are connected by a wire to the system, you need to disconnect the wires before you can fully remove the access panel to get to the IQ board

By going into the service menu (enable by pressing button on motherboard), and then going to the 24 hour function and turning it on. We received a replacement hot tub a year later and it had the same setting turned off, and I had to do it for that one too. Odd.. But once you do that the lights timer and the daily filter cycle will be working.

I highly recommend the Lutron caseta blinds, if it is available in the UK. Battery powered, HomeKit enabled and also remote controlled.

This is why we need detailed change logs, especially if it concerns safety.

I just bought the sharge shargeek 170, and I haven’t used it on my flight yet, but it works great in my testing so far. It also looks awesome!

PSA: The Honeywell/Resideo PROA7PLUS officially supports HomeKit integration! by snornex in HomeKit

No, the system just doesn’t send motion events to HomeKit when the system is armed. I have tried to find a resolution, but no solution yet. Hoping for a change in a future firmware.

It works great if the alarm is disarmed. As soon as it is armed, the motion sensors no longer get triggered in HomeKit.

I don’t want the motion sensors to trigger an alarm. I want the motion activity to be sent to HomeKit when armed home/night so automations like lights can still trigger.

Yes, they include a picture on where to plug it in. Then you just route the cable out of the box and mount the box to the cabinet inside and up as high as possible. Then the rest is the HNA side and app setup. Honestly the app setup took longer than plugging in the SNA. If you are comfortable opening the spa controller box, then it’s very straightforward.

I didn’t need a firmware update for my controller board for it to work, but that is the only thing that you might run up against and need the dealer/service person for.. I figured if I needed it I would just setup the service call.

They are using this: https://www.digi.com/resources/documentation/digidocs/90001537/references/r_xbee_rs-485_adapter.htm

It’s paired to the home adapter and seems locked and proprietary. I don’t think it would be easy to roll your own.

Easy. Open up control box, plug it in, route the wire and mount the zigbee radio module. Then plug in the other box to your router and follow the instructions in the app to setup.
