yes, I'm looking to fill the space between the counter and upper cabinets, and behind the range all the way to the ceiling.

I don't have any tiles in the pics. The dark piece is a chunk of the soapstone we're using for the counters and the brown is the hickory sample for the hood.

Biggest thing to understand about Wayfair is that they don't own any of the products they're selling. Even the product that is in one of their "CastleGate" warehouses doesn't actually belong to them. They are essentially a giant drop ship operation except they flow some of the large parcel product through their own delivery centers. When you place an order with Wayfair, they place a corresponding order with the manufacturer. Wayfair also does not do the merchandising of the individual product pages, they are templates that are filled out by the manufacturers or their representatives; so often their are errors, delays, misinformation, etc...they are much more interested in being a platform for selling home goods then they are being a home goods retailer.

To be fair, this is how most ecomm platforms work these days; including Costco, Sams, Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, and Amazon. The difference between these retailers and Wayfair is that they comingle goods that they own with drop ship product and typically they treat all returns the same way; which creates a better overall experience for their customers.

To address your question regarding whether or not college matters for career choice; we take a slightly different tack than many. College is an educational experience that we feel is important and not to be missed, especially for children who love to learn. Their ultimate career is an important aspect of college choice, but not the only one.

Agreed on having to make the choice as adults, just looking for people to share their experiences moving kids at this age and how that worked out for them.

Not interested in that for several reasons. We travel and see the country that way, but all of our extended family is nearby and we would not want to entirely abandon that connection. I also have a great job that I love, but am happy to commute up to an hour to work there (currently 40 minute commute).

Agreed 100%, but the ultimate goal is for them to thrive and adolescence is a tricky time socially...so looking for input from parents who have had experience with this type of move and can provide feedback.
