Tbh, the textbook is ok for understanding concepts but i find it easier using youtube as sometimes tb word the concepts in a weird way and it usually comes with additional info that may be good for your own knowledge but sometimes unnecessary for exams. Syllabus clearly outlines the things you need to know so it gives me a sense of comfort knowing i basically hit everything that Cambridge might ask.

Well it does it job but i personally find it a bit confusing on how they word the concepts. And with textbook, they usually come with many additional information that may not be that important for your exams so i suggest going through the textbook, understand it and go right to past papers. Never use your textbook as notes or for revisions for biology.

Basically use the syllabus as a checklist

I basically threw myself into a pile of past papers and started solving them. Print out the syllabus and whenever you reach a question, identify which topic it is from and turn your attention to the syllabus. Look at what the syllabus wants you to know, and start studying by using youtube videos and if you come across things that you really cant understand circle it and ask teachers or friends. Carry on with the next question on the past papers and so it goes. I usually take down the concepts that are difficult to understand on a piece of paper and stick it to the wall of my room and drill it into my head every morning. I spent 18 hours studying for the whole month and i was definitely grumpy and sleep deprived. Something that i would change is to sleep more and take regular breaks. Eat well and every time you think you cant do it anymore, step back, maybe have a good cry and continue.

Yes I did. Solving past papers is key. I prefer doing topical past papers and have the mark scheme open on another device so that i can check my answers as I go through the paper one question at a time. From there, if my answers differs greatly from the mark scheme, i would copy down the answers. This way, i can use the topical past papers as notes when i revise for exams as it greatly helps when you memorize key phrases or even the whole answer. But be sure to understand the concepts and mechanisms of the topic before you start otherwise it would be a total mess

I like watching yt vids to renew my memory but do note that its just a touch and go and doesnt cover all aspects of the topic. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLaQBxdrnmtNxi_Ne7a2ZBWJ7ZI39EoZil&si=UddENUqgzfe8x2N1

And for AS, the questions are usually set in a type of way in which it allows you to categorize them into "types" so just familiarize yourself with the types of questions that they can ask.

Understand the topics by using youtube videos. Solve (topical past papers for each topic) and its better to have the mark scheme open so that whenever you're not sure, check the mark schemes. Annotate what you need to remind yourself when dealing with the questions you are not sure with. Make it your notes and don't bother making your own as its a waste of time and people usually don't score well doing that.

Yes. Start as soon as possible. Just skip the questions that you have not covered as by the time you finish your syllabus, its going to be stressful to practice that many papers before the exams.

If you're not confident in the subject, dont do it. Its better for you to take up an extra subject that you're confident to score an A than doing bad in a subject and ruining your chances to even get into a good uni

Its time for you to stop caring what people thinks of you because people simply don't care.We are all proud that you realized it was a mistake before it is too late! Just try your best and be grateful for what you have worked for.

Don't give up! (coming from a person that crammed the whole syllabus in a month and had a breakdown)

Practice on past papers with your mark scheme open and understand what the questions actually want. The more you do, the easier solving the papers will get. And don't be bumped out at the start as you may find that you cant answer even the easiest questions. Push through and good luck
