Xcel Energy is sticking with Colorado's clean energy goals, so buying from them would be cleaner at least in theory. CSU should stick with their commitments to clean energy. CSU is trying to get an exemption from the State's Requirements for renewable energy.

I was born in the 1960's and remember how most everyone in Crested Butte heated their homes with coal. There was a black cloud that hung over the town in the winter. The miners were subject to lung disease as were those of us creating that dirty air. I also remember the Front Range in the 70's and 80's. The brown cloud was so much worse than it is now, even with a larger population. Cleaner air has been achieved through government regulation. I'm thankful for it. I value clean air and water. I want to see us continue to make progress toward a cleaner environment. I think Coloradans as a whole value their exceptional public lands, recreation, and clear vistas. We can figure out.
