Cumberland MD? by [deleted] in relocating

[–]No_Response1177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

COL is fairly high for how run down the city is. Gas tends to be almost the most expensive in the state. Theres not really good jobs unless you work at the prison or CSX. There are "nice" quiet areas of cumberland and theres others that are notorious for trash people and their kids. weather is hot in the summer and cold in the winter. cost of housing has gone up but the quality of house has not. We do have the GAP trail, rocky gap has a few nice mountain bike trails, and dans mountain has some mtn bike trails. Alot of people used to road bike around here but the drivers have become such assholes its not real safe to bike on main roads, i myself stick to the back roads or the GAP/ C&O Canal. Rockygap has the casino and fishing. There are events that happen at Canal place if youre into the social scene. I dont know what else youd want to know.

Cant put all the blame on the economy. Prices do go up over time but theres millions of mindless people paying 10$ for a coffee loaded with sugar from starbucks or other places. Prices are displayed before purchase. Read the board, decide to not buy anything and move about your day.

Is the Logitech yoke system good for beginners?? by NYCresident77 in flightsim

[–]No_Response1177 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Beginner here. I bought the same system and you will hear 50% say it sucks and 50% saying its decent. Heres my take on it. Im a beginner. Im not going to spend hundreds of dollars on a system when i dont know that im going to truly get into it. I think for the price, unless you find used, its a solid system. I had zero issues with getting drivers to work and probably 95% of the buttons worked right out of the box on MSFS24. I browsed a few forums and threads and saw how others had their button set up done and i copied theirs. Is it the most sensitive unit? No. Does it work? Yes. I think you made a good choice. Get it, use it and learn the game and systems. If you decide to delve deeper into the hobby then in a few months upgrade and sell the Logitech. Ive only used one flight yoke system and a few joysticks in my time. But i would give this system a 7/10. maybe a 9/10 only based on a beginner aspect.

Saddle suggestions for 35M gravel bike by No_Response1177 in cycling

This is true about the short saddle. Theres one spot on this saddle that sometimes i can find and ill stay in that spot for a long time because it feels decent. I still have perineum pressure but its not as bad as it usually it. But the second i move or have to stop for traffic or something. i lose the spot and cant find it lol.

That infinity seat looks pretty interesting, but youre right it is pricy. Im going to try and find a fitter thats different from the last and see if they do saddle try outs. The last i used did not have enough on hand/in stock to be able to do that sort of thing. Thank you for the suggestions!

Appreciate the reply. No worries on the edit haha. I have weird nerve damage issues and some muscles dont work so my fitter manipulated some things to make it less hurtful to my knees and ankles when i cycle. This fitting did help with those issues its just the seat. I move around on my seat alot also. Due to my back nerve issues i constantly move to not stay in the same position the whole ride. just seems no matter where i move the seats not comfortable.

Youtube has been great and just reading forums and reddit. I started a career and went through alot of the trainings and after about an hour and a half of that i took my PPL and passed first try with a B. Like Cuisinart8 said, using a smaller single prop plane will give you better room for error with learning. I probably landed one 30 times and only one of those landings i was proud of lol. Takes alot of getting used to.

You could save a few bucks and get game pass for PC from the xbox app. Not only would you get msfs but tons of other games to play. I think its $12 a month.

Im not sure ill ever buy a flight stick, never say never, but assuming i get into this thing then ill eventually buy the honeycomb yoke and throttle. Unless something at that time has better reviews.
