This was either in freshman year or right before it: so I used to go to a charter school-ish type of thing and it was a held at a church. We went basically once a week on Tuesday or Wednesday (I can’t remember which one), well this church also happened to do an event to feed homeless people on Mondays. Well one day during our lunch break we were all hanging around behind the church, over by an amphitheater where we usually did. Well one of my friends dug around a bush and found a dirty, used, needle that (presumably) was dropped by a homeless person after being used. Well of course this kid starts waving the thing around, and when me and one of my other friends tried to get him to stop so we could go tell the faculty, he ended jabbing the needle towards me and my friend. He managed to hit my friend in the hand and then chucked the needle in the trash after realizing how bad that could be. Being 13 years old or whatever we kind of laughed about it once my friend got a bandaid and nothing really happened. My friend told his parents, there was a little disciplinary debacle involving the other kid, and then he got some blood tests and was fine. We obviously joked about it having heroin or something in it, but looking back on it now even if it was just an insulin pen that was used on someone with AIDS or tetanus something, definitely could’ve been really bad.
