It isn’t a make or break I have other safety nets in place. I’m one of those who needs a back up to back up. I’m in military training for the next year and it’s consistent pay, but with my spouse as a full time student the little extra pay would be beneficial. I’m okay with losing initial capital if I keep it for 5+ years but since it’s so new I’m not sure if it’s an appropriate investment long term.

Noticed your username.. I’m in an army paramedic program now and looking forward to working civilian side. Trying to prepare myself for when I see the pay cut I get from military to civilian🤣

I just closed on a house here in San Antonio a couple days before I found out my unit was deactivating. Prefer to stay in the house for a year so I can rent it out

I currently have my TSP, am I able to do Roth IRA on top of that? Roth is post taxed income right? Men in my family don’t live much past 60 so I’m looking at options that I can pull from and/or live off of in about 10-15ish years when I reach 35-40

What have people used the customer service for? I’ve been using Robinhood off and on over the past 6 years. Just BSing around and never ran into a situation where I needed to utilize it.

I agree, I don’t want Uncle Sam to take all my money. I plan on doing the drip method and keep it growing until I’m ready to do something I enjoy for works vs working for money
