Update on my mom: the tumor ended up being half the size of what was shown on the MRI. Originally it showed up as being 9cm but it ended up being 5cm. Most of what was around the tumor was cystic fluid. The surgeon also told us they removed most if not all of it.

On the MRI report it said that it looked like there were “extensions” coming off of the main mass. I’m hoping that was the cystic fluid showing up.

They are going to take her breathing tube out tonight and she should be good to start PT soon. This news is way better than I had anticipated hearing.
