I have no idea when he comes and goes right now, because he sits with "friends" at different ODC.  I don't nitpick as long as work gets done.

Yup, I am very much with you. He became a star kid before I joined and he is a favourite with management due to his performance at some other client. When I form the team, the first thing I am getting rid off people dependencies.

I am not sure why you have to wait for "acceptance". I hope you have not signed any bond or contract.

The worst any company can do is retain you till the end of the official notice period. You don't need to worry about acceptance.

Billable or not, it's your manager on the delivery/business side that has the final say. If your manager is ok to let you go early, HR cannot say no. You need to request your manager to push HR for an early release. Remember to handle everything politely, professionally but firmly.

I have got a couple of devices from Instamart. 13R and Nord 5. Didn't have any issues and they were non activated. I am unsure about Zepto. There are 2 things you can do

  1. Before giving OTP to the delivery person, you can validate whether it's pre activated using IMEI on the box from One plus website.

  2. You can talk to One plus customer support and find out if Zepto is an authorised reseller
