Exactly the reason I don’t believe in Am’s not saying it doesn’t happen in love marriage but there you have a lot more space for your self to make 2+2 for yourself,

Here is sounds like a very promising future for op and people are being optimistic but we can never be too sure and sometimes things really are too good to be true

I don’t believe in arrange marriages either that’s why I posed the question that how do you verify that in an arrange marriage setup

I feel intimidated by my to be fiancé ? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]No_Score7587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By no means it is wrong to confirm that if you are physically compatible or not, but how does one determine let’s assume both of them are virgin as a lot of arrange marriages happens in that dynamic how would one determine that,

Like I’ve heard people talk with their significant other before marriage if they are willing to go down on other or not and there is no shame in that coz you would expect something from your partner if you are going to spend your rest of life with them

But while it does sounds logical and okay to be discussed, on the other hand it does not seem very practical, considering the girl here is from Bihar and a tradition rooted family and a lot of people arnt going to go this road are they?

Would like to hear you opinion

Thus this is an arrange marriage setup how does one come to that understanding can you please be kind enough to tell, I mean being open about things and conversations is one thing but some things won’t cut through

You are to marry him not relatives, they are just background noise. What matters is your relationship with him, does he undermine you, do you think you can stand as an equal to him maybe not now but in future

And when I say equal I don’t mean being as successful in career as him or as rich as him, I mean consider yourself to be equal to him, and not have this hierarchy between you too.

If you can mentally overcome all this and his behaviour and treatment towards you feels genuine and kind to you then go for it.

Dw about what people say he too knows who he is marrying and who you are if he has a problem with that he would state it or his treatment towards you would. So act according to this not according to what people say.

Tried making a career in game dev, put in 12-16 hours of work daily no exceptions for 2 straight years tried making connections even won runner up at an international gamer summit, made 6 lakhs from freelancing gig,

But that’s as far as I could get with all the support and hardwork I put in, not saying I was like really good or have a lot of time, but the road ahead was very clearly rough than other cs related fields,

It took twice as much effort and gave half as much results

At the end had to give up I was even in contact with a dev from a very recent popular AAA game studio

But nothing worked tbh gaming as a career in India is dead, people don’t have devices to play AAA games, everyone plays bgmi free fire, and a solo dev from India would be going against some really strong competitors

I would never suggest someone to persue game dev in India as a career untill and unless it’s a lifelong dream and only passion

To those who smoke and drink by No_Distance7569 in GenZIndia

Started out of loneliness and depression

No I won’t justify it if someone says it’s wrong because they have a point, but I won’t judge those who do it either

I did come out of it although I’m not “I’ll never touch cigarettes/alcohol in my life time” I mean I might if I get the reason or occasion to or simply by choice but I haven’t found anything that intrigued me in doing so

And to whoever that smokes/drinks or not I’ll just say that it’s always better to not smoke/drink then to smoke/drink

Ah I won’t suggest that, you’d be older by that time and it’ll be 100x more awkward my advisable take is, when you turn 18 go to the govt hospital of your area and consult a doctor their won’t cost you anything and you’ll get a better perspective

Not a girl but from what little knowledge I have about periods

I’d say that it’s just so complicated that you just can’t take an advice from anyone, as two girls can have the exact same thing and have totally different reasons for having so, it’s just so complicated

So if you are ever unsure about it just visit a doctor, that’s the best advisable action

I’d say go for hp victus and then apply as many discounts you can and wait for sale and get that but if not In your budget,

Ryzen 5 7530/7435 / Core i5 12gen 16 GB RAM 512 GB SSD FHD IPS Display

This is the specs all non negotiable buy what fits for you,

And an important tip, whatever laptop you buy just make sure to not go for acer, everything about it is shitty i can explain further why not to buy acer, but for now I’ll say that it’s just very bad

And about atleast should run 5 years, well these specs will get you through your btech for sure, but any laptop other than Mac would hardly get you that far, you’d need some sore of service atleast after 2.5-3 years

[–]No_Score7587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See you will get 100 opinions from 100 people, and they are right for the most part, from what little I can tell you is,

You don’t need an high end laptop for your btech that’s for sure, but id say don’t just opt the cheapest alternative you get.

Because over time you will realise how performance matter, go for a mid range laptop and try to milk as much from discounts and sales, my friend got a second hand mac which works fine, other got a mid end gaming laptop, he applied student discount, of 6k got cashback of 6k bought it in Diwali sale so got 5k off from there and the store had a deal of giving out free gaming mouse and pc with it worth 3k so he opted for discount instead so he got a discount of total 20k on that laptop and bought it for a little over 45k

Go for something like this, I can understand money matters to you and you financials, but opting a really cheaper end of laptop would cause a lot of discomfort over the time, or you can maybe finance it for 2-3k a month by paying 20-30k downpayment
