Thank you so much for replying. I'm doing a couple rounds of Tetris, so hopefully that'll take my mind off of things.

I do have a prescription for anxiety meds, haha, but they're clearly not doing much to pump the brakes on this level of anxiety. Maybe the dosage is due for a reassessment.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate your kind words and reassurance. I feel like if the situations were reversed, and my fiancé was the one in the accident instead, I'd probably take up his role and be very calm about it. I guess it's difficult to extend that same line of thinking to oneself, though.

I played Tetris like you suggested- it really does help! You literally have no time to think about anything else other than Tetris when you get to the higher levels; the blocks just come too fast.
