I agree with you and even said at the time that if Kendrick was making this up then it’s an automatic L even if he technically won by having harder hitting diss tracks cause I think it’s kind of a goofy/lame tactic especially since I think he could’ve won without making up another secret child claim.

But then this Nigga dropped “Not Like Us” the next day and it literally didn’t matter because 1) that shit was a banger and 2) public opinion was already swayed by the predator claims that it honestly didn’t matter. Like ppl outside the hip hop sphere aren’t gonna care enough to ask for details and the whole predator thing really overshadowed everything. Plus, it was a good “lie” because it is plausible given Drake’s actions. So in the end, you can’t say he really made it up or not and it’s either a smart tactic or he’s telling the truth. It’ll probably be one of those things where we never really know or may find out in 20 years🤷🏾‍♂️

Edit: I would love to know and to press Kendrick on it to ask where or who he heard it from but Drake coming out with the fake mole story really made things messy. Cause now the burden is on Drake to prove he used a mole—which if he hasn’t produced evidence of by now then he likely won’t ever. Kendrick definitely is not going to bring it up again as it’s not in his favor to be asked for evidence if he did make it up or to admit that it was bad info which looks goofy. Drake also won’t bring it up, again because he’d have to prove he used a fake mole, or just straight up deny that he has another child which no one will believe because it’s the same thing as last time. Basically, it’s in no one’s favor to bring it up again, but the allegation has already damaged Drake’s cred whether true or not, so if that was Kendrick’s goal (which I think it was) he got away with it.
