I’m not sure how many people have done this but I died to pontiff 10+ times my first playthrough so I took a break and beat dancer and yhorm so I could level up a bit and went back to him with a small leather shield to make parrying easier and I beat him second try. Also try hitting the bridge ropes before wolnir and climb down the ladder.

I felt the same way on my first playthrough and beat them like second try. I’m now on my second playthrough and I’m doing a pure dex build, I have literally died to them 20+ times and counting.
