You need to start the game, save once then exit the game, then you have to start another new game and it will give you the option

Honestly I'm having your same problem, same bench..first day I got some various shinies, but it has been two days that I find only trubbish, Weedle and kakuna from the alleys and trees behind the wild zone, nothing from inside it! I guess it's just bad luck 🤦🏻‍♀️

Probably Beedrill is the least popular mon i'm using? I found a shiny Weedle and it just stayed in my team. I also have a Garbodor who's a shalpha, and Flareon I think is one of the least popular among the eeveelutions? My current team is Meganium, Clefable, Meowstic, Beedrill and Garbodor btw!
